How do you know it's not the same bot? It's been caught with different personalities before. I've had the bot reply to me on 2 different accounts and it crossed itself up. It retired that one account because of it all those years ago. Wouldn't put it past it to be doing multiple personalities and would make sense as to why this certain one is so 1 dimensional. Essentially what he signed with the Blues
Alexandre Texier recently signed a two-year, $5 million contract extension ($2.5M AAV) with the Montreal Canadiens, running from the 2026-27 season through 2027-28, following a strong start after signing a one-year, $1 million deal with them in late 2025. This new extension begins next season, replacing his initial short-term deal after his release by the St. Louis Blues earlier in the 2025-26 season.

I think it would be hard to find too many people who thought Texier wasn't a 3rd line minimum player in the league. He is a NHL player. before he got to the Blues with a full season of work, he had a 30 point season. With the Blues he played 39 games, and was on pace for a 25 point season. That is NHL 3rd line production borderline 4th. He's crushing it in Montreal. But as a Blues player he got hurt what, 3 times? 4 times in 2 seasons? He was held out of the lineup because of some of these little things. And then younger guys matched or out produced him.
It's a good signing by Montreal. Extend a guy who has something going well, and if he falls back a bit he's still a 3rd line guy. And if it doesn't work out, chances are someone else will take the same contract on if he hypothetically had to be waived. He's still young enough for another chance.
I believe Texier is, at last, on the road to recovery from an early diagnosis of terminal homesickness.
Losing two of his closest family members in a crazy short period of time did a number on the kid from the fricken Alps.
He might actually enjoy living in Quebec.
Only person that can explain Texier is Texier. Hes had a bumpy NHL career.
Consistency and a good well rounded game is critical.
He hasnt shown either despites flashes of great scoring.

He at this point in his career is a third liner. He doesn't fit on any other line. In St Louis we have plenty of third line like players. There just wasn't room or ice time for him to gain traction. He may fit better in Montreal.
