Was really hoping Columbus could make it happen this year. Last season was pretty darn amazing…barely missed the playoffs but after losing Johnny hockey it was crazy they were even in it. Long suffering fan base, and they deserve playoff hockey. Hope they can put something together soon.

Probably. I’m with you though, if the Blues can’t win the cup, I’d be rooting for Buffalo, Columbus or Winnipeg. Some fan bases that have endured a lot, but not teams that I hate! Lol.

We lived in the Columbus burbs at the time of the Jackets inception and it was a lot of fun going to games and talking hockey with some "beginners". They have a great dedicated fanbase that really deserves playoff hockey. Their barn is a really nice facility and has a great atmosphere. It was a great place to live Westerville, Oh just northeast of the city as long as you could block out "THE OSU" bullshot.

John Davidson has a big palm print on that organization. I've always wondered if his accomplishment as a goalie and announcer/color-analyst in a big market with its associated popularity resulted in him being an over-rated Hockey Executive.
