Not a huge shocker, I still want to know how he made the coaches or Army angry because I never understood why he couldn't get games here. He was exactly what we claim we want players to be when they are skilled. He was great at retrieving pucks (especially off the board scrums), + passer, and did score some dirty area goals.
He wasn't overly physical but felt effective when I saw him play, he is definitely the only player I can recall in recent memory I felt this way about. I don't think he got enough top 6 looks in his time here and his deployment on the 3rd/4th lines didn't make much sense as no one had the finish take advantage of the passing.
Berggren is basically the same player and he is getting all kinds of opportunity. We had the same player that we picked up on waivers.

I loved the graceful way he played. Passing, shooting, and skating, he was lovely to behold. Broberg is similar, but much faster and bigger.
I agree that Tex was homesick and needed some French Pals for the nine months he spent in NA every year

I personally think Texier had some really good games here last year and was always just yanked back out of the lineup for whatever reason, He had some times he didn't take advantage of opportunities for sure.
For me on several occasions he was sent back to the press box after outplaying several regulars.

The whatever reason is he doesn’t play St Louis Blues hockey, which equates to dump n chase.skilles wrote: ↑13 Jan 2026 00:24 am I personally think Texier had some really good games here last year and was always just yanked back out of the lineup for whatever reason, He had some times he didn't take advantage of opportunities for sure.

Played the most minutes out of any forward last night. He could never play another game and he will never forget this time in his life

Re: Texier on fire
Possibly the dumbest statement on the forum in some time. Every team doesn’t play dump n chase. BTW all 3 goals last night scored off the rush.Harry S Deals wrote: ↑13 Jan 2026 08:27 amEvery team plays dump and chase some teams are able to actually hit someone, retrieve the puck make a pass to the slot and scoreBacchk29 wrote: ↑13 Jan 2026 05:50 amThe whatever reason is he doesn’t play St Louis Blues hockey, which equates to dump n chase.skilles wrote: ↑13 Jan 2026 00:24 am I personally think Texier had some really good games here last year and was always just yanked back out of the lineup for whatever reason, He had some times he didn't take advantage of opportunities for sure.

Habs just inked him to a two year extension 2.5 aav. A raise from what he was earning with us. Good for him.
