Blues are a win streak away from wild card spot contention, a losing streak from the #1 pick.

I never want to root against the Blues but I'm going to do so until the end of this season. There is nothing that gives me a sliver of hope that this group can turn it around.

We have two games in hand on both WPG and VAN. WPG's goal differential is -8 while ours is like -3247423. Seems to me a team with that record with that small a differential is running into a sheet ton of bad luck. Let's root for that luck to turn around. There are also four bottom dwellers in the East but right now all are a bit ahead of us in points.

The schedule up to the winter break is brutal and I like that. CAR, TB, EDM, WPG, DAL x3, LA, FLA, CBJ, NSH. 6 home 5 road. A nice little 2-8-1 kind of stretch there would be ideal.

Then after the break schedule the Blues auction. Break up the band and get as much as we can.

Winnepeg has their goalie back they will win more games than the Blues. Blues had the 9th toughest SOS left and no doubt the Blues are at least trading two veterans soon so i dont imagine the Blues are falling too far away from the Top 5 this year .

That’s my worry. Whoever starts typically goes the distance, so hoping it’s not Binnington. Most people say it shouldn’t be from what I’ve heard. He’s actually been pretty ooor for Canada outside of the one game
