Inglewood High has a generous budget. That was their second trip to the Midwest.

Crowe had a bad turnover, and it seems like he uses his size to overpower guys which will be harder in D1, particularly on the drives, where defenders did a good job bodying him. The two things that seem superlative: shooting (his form and accuracy are other level, his free throws were pure), and his passing (he was getting doubled constantly and always found the right guy, hitting him on stride with near perfect placement, while composed. Really excited about this guy. Atkinson looks really good, too. We have some very talented people coming in soon, and can’t wait to see what they can do. I’m worried about the X’s and O’s but talent often wins out in hoops.TheMajicMan wrote: ↑11 Jan 2026 15:44 pm This game was a war and not because of fundamentals, but physical as all-get-out. The highlights I watched showed Adkinson guarding Crowe one on one several times, and Crowe couldn't get around him. And Crowe is quick and has great handles and moves. I may have been most impressed with Adkinson's defense in what I watched. On the other hand, Crowe made several highly contested shots with Adkinson in his jock, which was impressive.
I wonder whether the red-headed Webster kid shoots like that all the time. If he hadn't had a piano land on him that kept him out of the middle portion of the game, it might have had a different result. Pretty sure the Inglewood fans were thinking like Mizzou fans..."why are we giving up all those unconstested threes?"

He needs to get outside and get some sun. He's so white you can almost see through him. LOL.

Jason Crowe, an earlier Inglewood Sentinel (and Junior's father) had a long international professional basketball career and is currently a the head coach of the Verbum Dei High School basketball team in Los Angeles, California.

one of if not THE best HS BB game I have ever seen. witnessed better individual performances by great players but not both teams playing so well with many contributors. That Jackson kid was unreal and as mentioned he wasn't run over by a big kid and knocked loopy and missing big part of second half could have been difference maker. His shot is pure but he is skinny but who can't use a pure shooter like him. Most likely will be in D2 school or would look good in Billiken blue or SEMO.
Scotty is a very tough player and played Excellent D against Crowe who is just so athletic and skilled. terrific passer when Scotty kept him away from basket getting it to the right shooter, handles ball well and can't believe he is going to MU.
Scotty is a very good all around player and does play very good D as well as driving to the rim or shooting, tho he didn't take that many 3's because Jackson was so outstanding at that.
WG is going to be tough in conference and state championship run.
Both players will be great additions to Tigers.

Really? Who are the donors? Surely a public school must disclose the names of donors who are flying student-athletes around the country. Give us their names.winonsports wrote: ↑13 Jan 2026 16:24 pmDo you know where Inglewood is in LA?edwin drood wrote: ↑11 Jan 2026 17:52 pm Inglewood High has a generous budget. I'd love to see them in Black and Gold on the same court, but I'm not sure that will happen.

It's more likely they have talked about picking the same school and play together for at least two years.

Well I guess my conjecture would be more credible were I to have your inside access to their private conversations. Anything else you can share?winonsports wrote: ↑16 Jan 2026 09:26 amMost are not sure you will be right.edwin drood wrote: ↑15 Jan 2026 23:19 pm I'd love to see them in Black and Gold on the same court, but I'm not sure that will happen.

Crowe is projected as a #5 pick in the 2027 NBA draft by at least 2 forecasters. Here's one:

If that happens, you say he'll pass on the $7.8 million rookie year 1 salary but instead will stay in CoMo to play with his Webster Groves bro. OK, then.
