Tigers' QB coach is going to KSU as OC, Thamel reports

Kansas State is hiring Missouri quarterbacks coach Sean Gleeson as the school's next offensive coordinator, sources told ESPN on Saturday.

Gleeson is a veteran offensive coordinator with experience in the Big 12, as he served as Oklahoma State's offensive coordinator in 2019.

He also was an offensive coordinator at Princeton (2017-18) and Rutgers (2020-22). Gleeson worked at Missouri as an analyst in 2023 before being promoted to quarterbacks coach.

He'll now return to the coordinator role under new Kansas State coach Collin Klein on his first staff.

wow someone who did absolutely NOTHING with MU QB's is hired as a OC? Bah ha ha we tiger fans are greatful that he's long gone. Zollers and ole Beau didn't improve at all this year. So glad the dead weight in KM and this guy are gone.

Now that the new passing game coordinator who should be the OC and the named OC who is a ground and pound guy are in charge now have real hope for a actual LIVE effective offense next season instead of the awful O they ended up with this year. Someone who has actually developed excellent QB's out of not so highly rated kids. Having a couple of highly rated QB's who are not finished to work with gives MU a much better chance of success now.

THAT's how you do it Eli. BTW this guy was the OC in drink's one really successful HC year at App State and was the real reason they had a top flight offense, obviously it was NOT Eli tho he got the rep of a offensive guru.

Riley may be gold for you guys but nobody at Clemson is complaining that he's gone, not that they're happy with his replacement either. Not a lot of joy at Clemson lately.

LSU has the same thing Clemson does. Extremely short term memory. This past season wasn’t great, but Riley has had quite a bit of success in the past. I think he’s a very good pickup.

I do too, actually. If nothing else Riley should be super-motivated to show what he's got after dropping from OC to QBC.

Give Drinkwitz credit for upgrading at coach and having Clemson pay for it. Pretty slick.
