Can you even trade Schenn now?
He's one of the few guys that brings it every night. Who else provides leadership on the Blues?

Re: Can you even trade Schenn now?
you can trade schenn yes. Until end of season you could bring up a few different guys who are capable of roughing up the opposition if thats the concern. Respect the fact that he doesn't let nonsense fly, but that's part of the territory.
Re: Can you even trade Schenn now?
What good has Schenn's "leadership" done for us?
We're the 3rd worst team in the League right now.
I say cut all the vets loose and see who steps up among the youngsters. It's time for them to take the reigns.
It can't get any worse than it is right now.

I don't know. He may bring "it" but he needs to bring more game. The days of max value return are gone.

Re: Can you even trade Schenn now?
I love me some Schenn.
I just don’t love him at 6.5m cap hit and playing 2C like it’s 2018/2019 still.
If he is here he needs to be 4C or a winger and playing bottom six minutes and special teams.
The issue is that the team is paying and playing him like he’s 6 years younger. He is not a generational talent like Crosby, etc.
It’s bad when you look at ROR and discover they probably should have kept him for 5m or whatever instead of keeping Schenn. Contract $ for production and intangibles hasn’t been worth it. The Blues have made the playoffs once since Petro and ROR were captains.
Time to move on. Cash in. Get what you can get and turn the page.

Re: Can you even trade Schenn now?
Schenn is a 3rd line player at best but is the only player in the team that adds that physical element consistently. I want as much of that rubbing off on the young players as possible. If someone offers a 1st and 2nd round pick or equivalent though I’d probably make the deal.
Re: Can you even trade Schenn now?
Schenn comes out the gate, running hard. By his third shift he is back to collecting a check.
These fake fights do nothing. Running around trying to hit, doesn't lead to offense. It leads to a guy out of position.
His lack of effort on Stones goal stopped any chance of a comeback.
I wouldn't want a player like Schenn on my team. I'd want him in the office. But not if team work was needed. He is not a players player. He's managements boy. Which is why he was named Capitan.
This fish didn't start stinking at Schenn. This fish stinks all the way through management/leadership and has from the beginning. All in their position with loyalty to protect and better the boss(at every 3rd grade turn) and not the team.

The reason. Bro got bumped and without basic survival instincts, falls on his face. Fake.

He looked good in yesterday's game. I would think next year if he has a strong camp he could force his way to the Blues lineuptfriede2 wrote: ↑11 Jan 2026 07:46 amPeterson.Zizzle1297 wrote: ↑11 Jan 2026 01:13 amAnd who would that be?JoshInFenton wrote: ↑11 Jan 2026 00:03 am you can trade schenn yes. Re: Can you even trade Schenn now?
One issue is who do you trade Schenn or Faulk too if you want. A 1st rounder most top teams don't have a 1st rounder this year. Carolina does, Detroit, for instance, Mon. The franchise would be set up nicely down the road if they can somehow come up with 3 1st rounders again

Watch again. He beat the [shirt] out of him. And broberg got hit leg taken out from under him after the hit. Would you like me to explain icing to you next, asogg?Cahokanut wrote: ↑11 Jan 2026 07:22 amWatch again. Re: Can you even trade Schenn now?
I love Schenn and would hate to see him go. Realistically he won't be part of the team when they come into cup contention. If you can get assets that will be and have a match for a trade you have to do it. Faulk is an interesting one since trading him complicates what they have next year on D. He probably is the most value.
