Terrible announcing tonight

Post by brianstlou2 »

Seems appropriate to call out the horrible announcing by Kerber tonight. Was he the only one who thought we were on a power play? Then another play he was talking about Kyrou doing something bad and in fact it was Walker. The guy just doesn’t have a clue about half the time either who the player is or what’s happening in the game. How do you not see the Utes had 5 players on the ice but still calling it a Blues power play.

I guess the owners figure the team sucks so let’s have announcers who match up.

It’s pathetic!

The most shocking part of that is Kyrou being mention. He sure hasn't been noticable on the ice.

According to them the reason they lost is because dvorsky didn't know that Keller was on the ice.

It is rough at times.
I get agitated how Kerber covers for some players and calls out others. When Schenn makes a mistake or turnover, Kerber won’t even say his name. “The Blues turn over the puck”. It happens consistently if you listen for it.

Also, I laughed when Kerber called out the refs for not paying attention on a night where he yells the Blues scored off a post, calls Walker Kyrou, thinks the Blues are on the PP, etc.

And I like Kerber ok, although this year has been tough. Maybe he was better in small doses on radio, when you couldn’t see some of his mistakes.

Thanks for pointing that out. I thought I was the only one who noticed it. I didn’t like the way he dogged Dvorsky tonight.

He’s too busy yakking about nothing with Vitale to keep track of what’s happening in the actual game.

Kerber simply isn’t fast enough to keep up with the play. And he becomes worse when he starts yakking with Joey Walnuts.

LA Kings fans don’t know how lucky they got to get John Kelly who is orders of magnitude better than Kerber.

On one play tonight in the offensive zone, Kyrou was on the ice with 18. Kyrou made a nice play on net, Kerber says its Snuggy. Joey agrees and says Snuggy's name out loud. 21 is comfortably sitting on the bench this whole time. Kyrou get the puck again on the same shift, and Kerb's doubles down with calling him Snuggy again. I was like did 25 and 21 switch uniforms and I was the last to know? It is just endless with these two. I would says it is pathetic, but that would be rude to the word pathetic. The Blues are playing bad enough, but this adding insult to injury.
