Miami or Ole Miss?

Post by jcgmoi »

I like the Canes tonight in the desert.

Chambliss misses some of his down field shots, Lacy runs tough for inside yards but is contained, and Miami does what Georgia couldn't do--run effectively, crank up a pass rush, and set a hard edge. Fletcher and Beck keep moving the chains.

Cristobal is no tactical wizard but his staff gets the edge over an undefeated Golding and staff as they finally show signs of strain.

If Chambliss plays like he did against Georgia I see the Rebels winning.

I'm not as sold on Miami as the talking heads.

You can see why Simmons never got his job back as the starter.

Could be a high scoring affair I'll take Ole Miss 38-34.

Both teams are hungry, that's for sure. And I'd love to see Lacy and team advance. Chambliss is an awesome QB...the way he got the job reminds me of the Kurt Warner and Green type of thing. But having said all that...Miami will be Hunting for Lacy, so they had better be blocking for for Lacy. And those rushers on the D line are spectacular. so Chambliss better have a quick handle.....Miami just seems to be special this year. My heart says Lacy and company.....My gut says Miami pulls it out.

Never been a fan of Miami anything.

Have to eat some crow because I did not see them even making the play offs.

I've settled on pulling for 'Ol Miss all the way and they need a solid effort like the last game to do it. Hoping Miami has blown their wad to boot.

Odd enough the ranked team here is the underdog.

I like Miami. They have some bad arses on D. And Ole Miss' D isn't that special. I see Miami scoring about 24 and allowing 13 or so.

I think Miami's O line and D line are both better than the Rebels'. Line play usually dictates the outcome.

I wasn't a Miami believer until the CFP. Thought Cristobal was a dufus. They've really come to play! You've got to think the coaching fiasco at Ole Miss will show some cracks. Hoping for a good game.

Ole Miss pass defense is getting exposed.

So is their run D. Miami is killing the clock and scoring. But it's still a game, though it's Miami's style of game.

Ole Miss up, 19-17 7 minutes left.

Dont know what Ole Miss coach says to his players at half time but he sure knows how to fire them up!

Ole Miss defensive ineptitude has tired out the Miami offense.

The much-maligned Carson Beck came through bigly on the game-winning TD drive, capped off by his 3-yard TD scramble.

Ole Miss wanted a PI in the EZ on a Hail Mary to end the game. I don't think I've ever seen PI on a Hail Mary. Game over.

Some smarty on SECrant said OM should have kicked a FG to end the game to cover the spread. That made me laugh.

SEC out of the title game the first 2 years of the CFP.

they beat the hell out of each other playing an 8 game schedule so lets by all means make it 9... still the best most entertaining football conference to watch every saturday.

I was sorry to see them score with about three minutes left in the game. Shocking to see them move the ball so easily till the last play. They just left too much time on the clock for Miami.

Lacy having a hamstring issue really hurt their offense for much of the game. Chambliss is going to be a good NFL player unless I miss my bet. Go Oregon (or not). Don't really care much either way, just want somebody to dog knob Miami, puke school.
