Paint that barn Mr. Hall. One of my first favorites on those early Blues teams.

Hard to describe what he meant to me getting into Blues hockey.

What a wonderful life. Just a great person too.

Mr. Goalie!

He and the Plager Brothers have always topped the list of my all-time favorite Blues. They indoctrinated me into hockey. They continue to be the standard by which I evaluate all players.

I was raised out in the country on a farm/ranch. I always related to, and loved, his "painting the barn" stories!!

RIP!! You will be missed!

OMG He was a friend of our family during his time in STL. The first 2-3 years the Blues were in STL they would occasionally have skating parties on my Grandfathers farm pond in Pacific on Sunday afternoons. I was only 10 or 11 so I really did not know him. My mom was his banker when he was here. I really guess he will have a new barn to paint in heaven. :(

Those goalie dudes playing without a mask and street hockey looking pads.

Amazing.

Hall and Plante.

You had to love it.

RIP

His 552 consecutive starts will never be touched. I doubt anyone even gets to half.

😢 Mister Goalie was my first hockey hero and the reason I wound up playing between the pipes. (Amateur and beer League of course).

Glenn was a tremendous goalie, but an even better human being. He and the late Leafs goalie, Johnny Bower, were from the same era, and were kind, humble people who were a credit to the sport.

Sad day indeed.
