Panthers are really beat up in critical positions. It was always to be tough to land 3 straight Cups, and given their injury situation, I doubt they expend any young talent for a player that isn't going to make a difference anyway.

In other words, the benefit to the Blues for Faulk is that Army slithers out from under the Buchnevich contract.

Supposedly he projects as good quality bottom-6 center. It would be great to find a good LT solution at 4C.

Not sure that FLA has any cap space once Tkachuk and Barkov return. The new playoff cap starts this year too, so have no idea how they could be compliant if they acquired Faulk unless Jones is done for the year.

I doubt Barkov plays a game this year. I know he's started skating but he's still months away from even being able to be hit.
