Definetely earned it in my opinion, with the (bleep) season we are having he is the 1 player who never takes a shift off and is always 100% effort.

Kinda surprises me Im a little ambivalent about Torop i thought he could just easily have been dealt. He does play hard with size and speed not much skill though

Why deal him. Hes fine for this. Hes a big guy. Cant teach size. Ok with this. Still tradeable if needed. Has term now. Better trade value possibly.
Hes handy to have here.

I just want him to consistently hit someone. He's there in time........but doesn't always follow through. Maybe just once crush someone since he's enormous? I like him so not trying to sound like the folks who just want checking more checking and then some checking.

I don't mind it, but I don't rate him as high as others. There are times in which I want more for him or he seems to be non-existent. But he's played better lately.

He's a decent 4-liner. Hopefully he continues to play at his current level.

Absolutely worth it. He is what he is. A north/south straight line player that is a good on the forecheck. He's great on the 4th line and can fill in on the 3rd line. He can be moved up to give first or second line a jolt. Sometimes you just need to simplify your game and that's who he is.

Approve. Torpo bleeds blue and is a perfect 4th line player that is still only 26.

I just read that he is +9 in 19 playoff games (2 goals 4 assists). He brought the extra energy and bigger hits last year against the Jets that’s for sure.

Understood. When you see a player at his size using his blazing speed without a shred of fear, to turn entire shifts around, you wonder what if....
He is not a disappointment, though, and having him display his game in front of the kids as a bonus.

A lot of people give him grief around here but he is a good bottom 6 guy and even flashes some impressive skill here and there. I like the signing.

Not a bad value. Becomes a great deal if he could figure out how to pot 7-10 goals a year while still being a defensively sound PK specialist.

Excellent 4th liner really. I'm huge on that. I also think he CAN come around to his numbers of 2 years ago...no reason he shouldn't.

His few stints with RT last game was interesting.
