We're winning the trade!!!
Was just reading Montreal's forum at HF Boards, some of their fans want to give Bolduc back.
Shhhhh! Some around here might do it!

The Mailman looked solid today. Played big and hard.

I mean, I’ll go on the record and say I’d do it assuming it’d be Mailloux going back in an undoing of the trade. But yea today was one of LM’s better games

Binnington had a great game, but I hope Monty doesn't get confused who the better goalie is.

29 looks good and is fun to watch
54 is fun to watch
28 was ok
9 was invisible…
Fabbri made a good play to clear D zone in the 3rd period. Didn't get many minutes. The other four all played well.

Thomas and Toro had 27 shifts each. Thomas 22:33 ice time. Toropchenko is on a mission, not just active but effectively active. Kyrou seemingly got lost along the way.
Fabs played well today. I repeatedly noticed him skating hard.
I like Fabri. Glad he’s back

Ridiculous statement.
I guess sdaltons's joke went over your head?
He struckout on that joke. Really wiffed it.

If you’re tanking then yea I’d trade Parayko and keep Mailloux. You’d lose many many more games

Teams don't generally bench their highest paid players, especially when they are goalies. Just a personal observation. If Binner pitches a shutout, I expect him to get the next start. For better or worse, he's going to get every chance in the world to earn his spot back, even if it settles as a 1A/1B kind of thing.

The outcome was better but the Blues still struggled with things a good team should be able to do.

They need PP set plays- if they have any they are horrible as they just pass the puck around hoping a lane opens up. All 5 guys should be moving into position as soon as they win the faceoff or get possession in the Ozone. They need movement down low not just out at the blueline. Each PP team should have at least a couple of set plays and they need to change as other teams will figure them out. You don't have to re-invent the wheel- watch what other teams are doing and practice them.

Spend a whole practice on breakouts. Even at even strength they get hemmed in for minutes at a time. When they do get the puck out of our zone it is too often just dumped into the neutral or Ozone. Possession turns into a 50-50 puck and we don't win enough of those.

I agree with this. While Hofer has had a good year. Binny is the guy with the contract and should have the respect given to him to get his stuff together.

Bolduc played a role that helped the team without Bolduc putting points up. Because on the pp, bolduc had a shadow when he played here. Giving four other guys more ice and more time.

He also brought a unique threat that no other player on our team could. A accurate one timer.

I also think he is his worse advocate. I think he isn't the easiest to like in the room and I think his willingness to play a heavier game puts him in a role that doesn't see as much cherry as his talent should get him.

The Bolduc trade was and is bad because we didn't get back the value we have away. We basically traded a first rd pick for a third rd. pick.

I certainly like what I'm seeing in LM and I do think the trade will pay off.

Bolduc is liked in Montreal but the hoopla after the trade and first week of the season has settled down quite a bit.

The few comments about LM are pretty much glad he's gone even if Bolduc doesn't pan out..... again....I say we'll see about that in due time.

I believe this game shows how much more difficult it is for Binny and Hoff when the rest of our boys don't play well in front of them. Hoff picked it up with the support of our boys lately, and Binny proves he's still Binny if our boys do their bit. Neither goalie can score the goals and do the job of the rest of the team for them. And again, we have two wxcellant netminders, but in my opinion, Monty has no confusion at all about Binny being #1. His interview after this game pretty much clears that up. I'm not being argumentitive. It's not really necessary when we have two of the best goaltenders in the NHL.

Excellant win boys!!
