Absolutely, but when they diversify products, they lose their uniqueness and all seem to blend together.
If I can get a roast beef sandwich at "X' restaurant and I'm used to going there for a hamburger, why go to
Arby's?
Why go?

Because that's what ARBY's did/does best, make a great Roast Beef sandwich!

ARBY's has strayed from what they did best and were known for.........making those great Roast Beef sandwiches.

They've lost there way, foolishly straying into every corner of fast food.

Like when McDonalds tried to sell pizza and then fried chicken, stupid and they were smart to go back to what made them successful BURGERS and McNuggets.

ARBY's need to go back to the basics, sell great Roast Beef sandwiches at a fair price.
Arby’s has the best beef. I eat it all the time. The only other roast beef place I know is Lion’s Choice.

Last year I ordered 2 Double Beef and Cheddar with added bacon everyday. I wanted to see if my spending at Arby’s would affect Cardinal payroll and signings. It didn’t. So, I think they keep their businesses separated.

For years Arby's was the best roast beef where I live. Still is in Joplin Mo. But a few years back on one of my trips to Stl I was in a hurry to get outta town. I made my stop at Ted Drewes , but the line was long and I was hungry so I hit the Lions Choice that is right there. I was told by a local to get my RB plain. I got my medium rare roast beef, hit TD's for my butterscotch concrete and haven't looked back since. That roast beef puts those (slider sized) rb's at arby's to shame. The Cards need to take note of that and step back up to that level.

Lion's Choice roast beef tastes better and is healthier. It doesn't come from Texas.

Good point. It is great.
Cranny don’t you find it hilariously ironic that probably 15-20% of threads have YOU, WLTF, and RED in a scrum at the bottom closing them out???
And now you have BOTH RED and WLTF on IGNORE…..who else has these issues??
This is pure comedy for the rest of us
Down thru the years (many) I have found you can't have a baseball conservation with Cranny. He always claims to be right and has to have the last word. He claims to have me on ignore but still comments on my posts or makes comments on what he thinks I posted when it is not true. Also, when you prove him wrong, he moves the topic to suit his agenda. And it gets a little old to always be reminded of his military service, playing college football and baseball when he is trying to prove his point. His constant backing of Matheny as manager, ownership and finances grates at many of us and then he is the victim when I don't agree with him. I have often repeated the original thread hoping he would return to the original topic with no use.

Yeah! Here comes the Rooster. HE ain’t never gonna die.! Yeah!!!
I just get frustrated when a person blatantly lies...I assume they are lying about other things as well..of course, fortunately, they are harmless...
You’re a smart and avid contributor. You could ignore them. You’ve spent a lot of time in a critique mode, with no apparent good results for your efforts. Could be a bridge too far.
Way too far, considering the constant stalking and trolling every time I post. You see it, SB. Why not recommend that he stop it?
I hear ya. It’s a lot. I did mention ignore. Have you asked for it to stop. If so, again I tell you, if your Area of Operation is gettin pounded, move your operations.
I just want to come on here, every now and then, and post on something that's an interesting topic. I do have him on ignore, SB. It helps, but sometimes his posts still show up if it's a long chain of posts. Just the way it works. But before I put him on ignore, every time he mentions section 148, refers to Mo having a beautiful family, talks about "Baghdad Bob", calls someone a "liar", refers to someone as hopelessly lonely, etc. it's a stalk and direct troll. Others probably see it as a pattern that's simply gone on too long. One poster called him the worst troll ever on here. The saddest thing is to see
OldRed back hjm up. OldRed has been tag teaming with a true troll, and it only hurts Red's reputation as a poster. You're right, maybe should move my operations. But some topics are too interesting to ignore. Plus this is the first place I check for any player movement. Especially in the off season. Anyway - very Happy New Year to you, and all the best in 2026.
I wish the experience you have here was better. You seem to be a part of some deeply troubled debates. You have your share of self inflicted wounds.

Naming Red as a back up, and tag teaming, is in effect, throwing a jab. Most certainly he fires back.

You have some good input. Like chess, if your the King, don’t surround yourself with your self. Move on back two squares.
I don't start "deeply trouble debates", SB. But when they start I don't back off. Like on this thread. I spent a 50+ year career
reviewing organizations' financial statements. When someone says operating income is the same as EBITDA, I felt the need to respond. Or when posters call Mo hateful names and don't at least give him a little credit for 30 years of work, I again feel the need to respond. Probably shouldn't - should just let the haters vent.
I didn’t say you did. Read the content word for word. You have the answer- you don’t back off. A novel trait. I’m sure it has served you well on business. I’m sure you’re a pro at your craft.

Follow me here- you are barking at the moon. You are trying to make points and talk with others in the dark. No body language. No Facebook to face.

Pilots are a breed of themselves. Very arrogant. No offense. I can see your point.

CCard wrote: 02 Jan 2026 06:25 am Operating costs do not equal profit. That's ridiculous. A while back I posted an article from Forbes that showed the Cards profit of around 350 million dollars. That profit, not operating expenses. With a payroll at the time that was about 175 million. Deduct the operating costs from the profit and still it looks pretty good. Now they've cut payroll to the bone. Will people come out to watch these guys? I won't. That being said, unless you have a 401k, this economy is killing you. Everything has gone up and continues to go up. I'd expect attendance to be down no matter what.
It's operating income. Operating income is, roughly, profits.

The Cardinals' operating revenue is about $350 million.
As I said.
You said, "...showed the Cards profit of around 350 million dollars." There is no "profit" of $350 million.

Operating income/profit = revenue - expenses

The Forbes data shows the Cardinals average operating income/profit over a decade at $27 million per year.
https://twinstrivia.com/2025/04/05/mlb- ... s-payroll/

Your numbers sound ludicrous. If a team had a margin of only 27 million dollars then any team that signed a high priced free agent would be losing money. Preposterous.

https://www.forbes.com/sites/kurtbadenh ... ince-2010/
They are Forbes' numbers, and the only source I'm aware of for comparable numbers for all 30 MLB teams.

BTW, per your 2nd link, $8 billion in profit over a decade for 30 teams would be ~$27 million a year, per team.

SB - Let me ask you a question, as a former military guy. And this question is just for you, not for the 2 trolls.

If you had someone call you a "sick old man", or a "sad, lonesome old man", what would you do? Counterattack, or refuse to lower yourself and get as far away from the stench as possible? Especially when those attacks break the posting rules.

By the way, most pilots I know are proud of their successful years of training and making it through combat. If that's "arrogance", so be it. Most I know made it through OCS, 53 weeks of flight school, 6 months of training in their assigned aircraft, water survival training, mountain survival training, jungle survival training and then finally a year in combat.

If you can't read their comment, why comment? I haven't posted one derogatory comment on this subject.
JFC!..still responding to post that they claim that can't read...Methinks someone has trouble understanding what ignore means.. very sad and pathetic to watch...🤪

I used to be quite short fused. I understand your tendency to fire back. But to date, it’s done you no good. So I’d change strategies. Move my AO to a friendly fire zone. That can be rewritten as- change your character to better reflect the boards mood.

As for pilots. Love em. My kind of mind. But there is not a cockier group than pilots. That’s a characteristic trait/ . Not a knock.

CT seems to be Baghdad Bob's little playground. The desire for attention is getting really bizarre!
