Absolutely correct.
And though it is not popular nor understood, the CORRECT BASEBALL DECISION is to trade Bernal to address positions of greater need.
The ACTUAL CORRECT BASEBALL DECISIONs ...
1. Move Herrera to LF/1B/DH ala the A's Soderstrom.

2. Be open to trade any other catcher on the ML club and in the system NOT named Bernal or Rodriguez.

3. Keep a legit starting catcher in 2026 to play out the season. That means Pages has to stay in the near term.

Conclusion: if they trade a catcher right now for any prospect return, it's Crooks.
