WHO is telling EVERY skater to ice the puck immediately when the get the puck? No other team does this. Other teams score empty netters.
Is it Monty's ego? What is happening?
Why is the empty net strategy still terrible?

To be fair, today's icing was total garbage. The Knights dman could have easily played that flipped puck. But he just let it bounce and the refs gave it to them.WeWentBlues0819 wrote: ↑02 Jan 2026 16:36 pm WHO is telling EVERY skater to ice the puck immediately when the get the puck? Also, it's not as easy as the Blues seemingly allow other teams to make it look. The goal must appear to be 50 ft wide to Blues' opponents because they hit that thing dead center like it's a free throw on a consistent basis.
Blues look like they're trying to hit one of those game shots that you win a car on. I can't remember the last time they scored an ENG.

It's because for years we have been petitioning the NHL for a rules change to put the net in the corner of the rink...since that is the only place we ever think to play it into the zone.blackinkbiz wrote: ↑02 Jan 2026 17:58 pmTo be fair, today's icing was total garbage.
