Can't wait for the rookie GM to arrive and clean up the problems with this roster.
Makes zero sense to anyone willing to give it some thought.
What should be happening is that the Blues owners try to steal a new GM from the assistants in Colorado that will bring 1-2 talent scouts and trainers with them.
What this team needs....A rookie GM

People a LOT smarter than you DO think it makes sense. Look around the league, how many experienced GMs have won Cups? Oh, we have one here.

Ok cool. You should start a thread about it every day on this forum until you die. That will probably work.

Re: What this team needs....A rookie GM
The team committed to Steen when the Blues Owners believed that the team was trending up. Steen would learn "the way".
Who wants to see Army's way continue in St Louis now? Anybody?
Who believes that the re-whatever is over? Who believes that the re-whatever accomplished much? Who believes that drafting in the middle of Round 1 brings competitive advantage? Who believes that the fans love drafting around #15 for 20 more years?
At this point, one can only assume that Steen has been "brainwashed" into this losing approach.
Army, Steen, and the assistant coaches and scouts that they ride in on need to be dumped. That is what this team needs.

For the most part, players from the last generation have come in and made decent GMs across the league, even when replacing old guard.

Have you noticed how often Army communicates that Steen is being taught the "Blues way"? This includes "picking 15 or lower in Round 1".
Does anyone believe that the long shadow of Army disappears next season? No way. He will still be very present. If not himself, it will be the many assistants and scouts and coaches that will be echoing Army.
Is that what you want? You want to continue this boring brand of mediocre knuckle-dragger hockey?
