This gave me a good chuckle lol
The blues being one of them is a good thing. I like the draft odds and am pretty much over this season.todd-parker wrote: ↑31 Dec 2025 22:05 pm 32 teams in the NHL and there are currently only 5 with records below .500.

Man...I'm so embarrassed. You got me - I was watching one of the only hockey games on NYE instead of being at a rave on e like you... Drink plenty of water when you're on that stuff.

Haha you even watched it? Even more pathetic. You should be embarrassed indeed… even though your username lets me believe that is pretty difficult.BalotelliMassive wrote: ↑01 Jan 2026 06:21 amMan...I'm so embarrassed. Just to try, quick check, 10 hockey games on the night. To make things worse, you not only watched a terrible game but also posted on a forum?! Checked in at the Avs board as well, also with such a ‘witty’ post?
Haha then 7.21 the morning back responding… What a joke.
Re: GDT: Blues at Avs 8:00 FanDuel
You guys made it a lot deeper in the game than I did. As I have been whining for years you can't build a great team around Thomas and Kyrou. They are skilled but not game changers. Thomas can turn it on for brief periods as he did last game but will not maintain that level. Kyrou will always be a floating sniper if a team can work around that with other talent but I still don't see why anyone would- sends an awful message to the rest of the team.
Other teams have command of basic skills like breakouts, passing, winning puck battles, etc. so coaching is part of it. Pick a skill and run an entire practice or more until they show some mastery. Then move on to the next skill and hope you don't run out of season.
Army put together a group that cannot possibly work together. Those with any dedication don't have the skill and the skilled guys won't make the effort. I hate to ruin the new promising guys by exposing them to our lazy and stupid vets.
If we can jettison any of these losers and they end up on a team where there is a different vibe they will sink or swim but they won't be our problem. Keep the young guys and Hofer and beyond that I don't care. Good luck Steen- you are being handed a burning bag of poop.

BINGO! They need a character upgrade, pronto!PregnantNun wrote: ↑31 Dec 2025 20:45 pm This game should have gotten chippy with a couple fights about 10 minutes ago. I hate to join the chorus, but I don't think this team has any pride, identity, or heart. There's no fights, no big hits being thrown, nothing to suggest to the Avs that the we aren't going away easily.
This might not be the worst Blues team I've seen, but it's the least coherent and most listless.

Even if not fights, they need tenacity and grit. Certainly not trying to dwell on the past, but I can’t recall a single player on the cup team that lacked those two things, even the smaller guys were battlers. Not even a ton of fighters, but they had a few. See below and if I’m wrong, so be it. This team might have a handful.succinct712 wrote: ↑01 Jan 2026 09:26 amBINGO! Those Colorado Avalanche guys are a pretty good team.
Re: GDT: Blues at Avs 8:00 FanDuel
and they have a great owner to boot!

Same [shirt] different year, but this time I'm more than ok with not going on a historic run like the end of last season, so long as major pieces are moved.Heratogwea wrote: ↑01 Jan 2026 06:14 amThis gave me a good chuckle lol

Do you need any of us to let you know what happened or are you just here to cope?

2,112 percent. I was actually at the game in Denver.* Two teams playing two different games.
Blues have major flaws, no doubt. Last night's game illustrated that quite convincingly.
* Also at games Denver last spring and fall 2024. As per typical at that point, 25-30 of arena was wearing Blues gear. Last night, less than 10 percent.

This Blues team against that Avs team… it was ugly, but not like it was improbable.
These guys have a lot to prove to themselves before they can really expect to beat a team like this year’s Avalanche… especially in their barn.
Let’s improve where we can and keep moving forward. I like what Monty is doing with the hand he has been dealt.
If we move some overpaid Vets, I won’t cry.
