Is Binner slowing down?
He’s always had a problem losing his stick but it seems to take longer for him to get up after he goes down. It’s certainly not all on him but this is getting significantly worse. The 4th goal has just been scored and we have no shots on goal. Again not all Binners fault but this is a horrible team.

He seems to be sliding all over to me, instead of compact small movements. I’m no goalie expert though, just what I’m seeing as he slip and slides all over

I’m no goalie expert either but when he does that, he sucks. Not sure what the Blues actual goalie coach must be looking at but you and I have seen it, and I’m sure many others have as well. Hofer was kind of doing that earlier in the season when he was struggling, but he corrected it pretty quickly.TruBlueFan_1970 wrote: ↑31 Dec 2025 21:05 pm He seems to be sliding all over to me, instead of compact small movements. Well, I think he’s earned the phrase ‘ďamned if ya do & ďamned if ya dont..
If he plays lights out in the Olympics, it’s perfectly logical to ask how come he can turn it up under pressure, yet he doesn’t feel pressure to play better to help turn around the Blues season..
And if he sucs at the Olympics, then I believe it’s fair to question if his talents are waning and if he’s the best goalie to lead the Blues anymore.
Regardless, if he doesn’t become part of the solution soon, then the least he can do is help deliver the Blues a prime draft pick on his way out.

His reads have been slower imo compared to other goaltenders … and he’s not the biggest guy. That’s a tough combo to expect good numbers from….the team is a joke though. Maybe the worst I’ve seen.
He hasn’t been that good. He deserves recognition for the one good game he had for Canada, but he had a terrible few games prior.

Always will be a Blues favorite but needs to move on folks.
Canada will be gone early if he is the goalie.

I have had a thread every year of the last several seasons pointing out his falling/failing stats, but have been told Binny is not the reason the team stinks. Got news for you, he is way worse this year. Check it out. https://www.espn.com/nhl/stats/player/_ ... t/dir/desc

That's understandable. As you continue to grow, get exposed to a lot more hockey and gain wisdom then you'll possibly change and alter your assessments of the game, players and teams.

I think many have been thinking this but don't want to hurt the feelings of a fragile participant.Old_Goat wrote: ↑01 Jan 2026 10:08 amMaybe the worst you've seen?theograce wrote: ↑31 Dec 2025 22:04 pm His reads have been slower imo compared to other goaltenders … and he’s not the biggest guy.
