brianstlou2 wrote: 29 Dec 2025 22:12 pm This team is a complete mess. I don’t think Sunny is the biggest problem to worry about.

Buch, Kyrou, Fowler are signed long term and have been horrible. Army does some things well but then shoots himself in the foot way too many times. I think he panics and does stupid things like sign Krug long term and Buch long term when most thought he should’ve been traded. Then he signed Fowler way too early. Fowler the type of guy that once he gets his contract, he craters and has no interest in actually playing.

Unless Army pulls some rabbits out of his hat like 6 and 81 thru trades this team isn’t close to a SC contender.
He’s been brain dead when it comes to building the defense since he got here. All of the good players he’s had were all drafted besides JayBo.

He lets Wallman and Dunn go for nothing.

Makes terrible deals for guys like Faulk, Leddy, and Scandella.

Then the stupid early re-signing of Fowler when he didn’t have to after making a “I’m bored in my last summer as a GM” trade for Mailloux.

Has managed to assemble the softest defensive group ever outside of Tucker…..and Mailloux after whistles and occasionally in the corner when it has no impact on the play.
oh dear god not this again
Walman - whatever. Is what it is but exposing Dunn is definitely valid criticism.
We both have discussed ad nauseum that the Blues shouldn't even have had to expose a player.

I am going to try and start posting the hockey stat card rankings post game to get some objective data into these GDTs as to what the metrics are saying.

So, I'm admittedly not great at reading advanced metrics, versus the eye test. If I'm interpreting this correctly, we have offensive and defensive players with a grade of D or F that were Sunny, Buch, LM and Fowler, along with a whole host of C graded players. Is that correct??

Sorry about that. I should have included the legend which is below. Also if you go to the site and click on the Blues/Sabres game you can go to the "game card" tab that shows all of the stats for how the aggregate is calculated. It is a flash window so no way for me to link it directly.

Metrics are useless. There were plenty of plays by plenty of blues players that could have ended up in the net. They just happened to be out there when the ones got past the goalie. But it helps you with your stupid agenda, so good for you.

That is a [fork]ing riot you of all people talking about getting off a high horse. 90% of your posts are about other posters, most of whom are actually talking hockey.

It should be Sunny sitting but I was afraid it would be Fabbri or Stenberg held out, so at least there is that. I guess there isn't much of an option for that 4th line center right now

25 feet … you don’t seem to want to talk about how completely hockey stupid that was. First year watching or are you just stupid with general dimensions/measurements?
