Fowler has been awful. Mailloux is at fault fir first goal, but I questioned the others. To me Fowler has been most out of position.

They just don't pair well maybe.

I’ve seen that exact type of soft/passive defending on so many 3 on 2s this season with Mailloux. Like teams have scouted this. He backs in so easily, lets the guy without the puck take him out of the play, and there is an easy pass to the far winger.

Fowler is a terrible partner for Mailloux as he has been bad this season and failed to read/make up for both mistakes LM made this game.

The play started with a clean face off win to Mailloux and instead of ripping it, he softly sends it to the corner to a covered Thomas. We are not getting any offense from a guy that is supposed to be an offensive defender!
