I think it’s gotta be Bernal, right? He’s a stud defensively, first of all. Defense and handling the rotation seems to be the thing that the Cardinals have been historically good at the past three decades. I think that alone would give him the nod over the others.
And he has the most potential offensively out of the group, after Rodriguez, of course. Even if he can just be a league average hitter, I think he’ll be the guy.
I think Rodriguez gets moved off catcher eventually. Not that I don’t think he can catch at the MLB level. I don’t know enough to say either way and he’s young enough to develop into a good one. I just think they’ll move him eventually.
