We are only trading Buch. If a big, long, Cap hit comes back.
Right now. He can add to a cup team. But his contract has to be in the top of the league. For being one of the worse.
Since he has been on the Blues, he has been a point per game playoff performer. 19 points in 19 games. There are precious few who can make that boast. Last year he led the team in scoring again, 3 goals and 5 assists in the Jets series.
In the same post seasons, he has 50% more playoff points than Kyrou, and almost a third more than Thomas. His playoff plus minus is much better than either of those two.
Any GM who wants to win when it counts would take a long look at Buchnevich.
Buch was tied for second on the team with points in the playoffs last year, and was behind Fowler. Who had two more points. And while he had more points then Kyrou. He didn't have more goals. He also didn't have a Jets player assigned to shut him down. He was also just a plus one. Thomas was even. Walker plus five.
Didn't look for his career ppg. As you told no truth to begin with. No reason too.
No one would take him on for the rest of that contract, without giving us junk and a big ugly contract coming back. No One.
Buch is an incredibly physically weak athlete and i have some visual evidence to back this up. Dude is really skinny for an NHL player. At his age now he is what he is but he is very skilled and plays hard. Can play in every situation unlike many Blues fans Buch doesnt really bother me much. Id like him even more if Kyrou was dealt because in my view having BOTH of those players makes the Blues top 6 too soft. I'd take Buch over Kyrou and either see if Carbonneau can play or go with Stenberg on the RW till JC is ready
