Who knows it might just be keeping Arenado.

What kind of thought is that. They ain’t keeping him. They can’t trade him. No one wants him.

Now. If you mean we may get stellar defense from him and a rebound to .250 plus singles and doubles hitter. Then yes.

.239, 12HR, 57 RBI
That might be second on the team to Herrera……

I think the possibility exists that Arenado is better offensively than he was last season. If you put him in the right ballpark he might show better. Some examples would be; Arizona, Boston, or that minor league bandbox where the Athletics play in Sacramento.

Could NADO have a bounce back season at the plate in 2026 if he's now 100% healthy (he wasn't in 2025)?

Sure

But what would that "bounce back" look like at age 35 (April)?

2024 would be a solid "bounce back":

16 HR
71 RBI's
.272 .325 .394 .719
102 OPS+

I think he is way better than Gorman at third.

I don't think the Cards will get anything of value back for him. Although the Dodgers do not want the Giants to get Donovan so Arenado might be part of a fleecing the other way. Joshue De Paula would be a must for the return if Donovan is included..

Fellas you act like it’s going to matter having a good defensive 3b who barely hits as opposed to a poor defensive 3b who barely hits. This team is going nowhere next season. These debates about who is playing where is pointless

Sadly, this might be true. Though many here seem to think the great Alec Burleson’s special olympic silver slugger means he’s elite and ready to carry the offense on his way to MVP.

They only keep him if they can’t make a reasonable trade. Reasonable means how much of his salary do they have to eat.

Should they trade him? Ask this question. Do you really think he benefits the team in 2027 and 2028?

If they don’t trade him now maybe he increases his value by the trade deadline. But he has no place on this team.
