We have seen bad play calling for most of the year but this game takes the cake. If a bunch of internet yahoos can see it then surely a $10 million a year coach should be able to figure it out. Someone else already mentioned it but he did look ridiculous with the walkie talkie. I've seen it in multiple games but I would have thought that they would have better technology. I just hope Hardy doesn't decide to leave. I heard somewhere that he signed on for next year but with the new rules I'm really not sure how it works.

Good, I didn't think someone that was sober could have your opinions! JK, trying to have some fun after that performance.slimjay63801 wrote: ↑27 Dec 2025 22:17 pmYep! I'm drunk old man. I'm drunk. Just as I predicted.11WSChamps wrote: ↑27 Dec 2025 11:31 am So I take it if MU wins it will be looked upon as just an exhibition and if they lose than Zollers and Drinkwitz will be hung in effigy.
Frankly given all the turnover the last two weeks Id be surprised if MU wins this game.

There is no defending this game day dunce anymore. He's stupid on steroids.rezero wrote: ↑27 Dec 2025 22:02 pm Can anyone explain to me why we ran two running plays with 1:42 in the clock and zero time outs? Also, none were for the last few inches to get a first down that would stop the clock, as they were all on 1st or 2nd down. Each burned 15 seconds. That was some of the worst coaching we have seen for a while. Drink needs to never be anywhere near the headset moving forward.

Re: GDT: Gator Bowl - #19 UVA vs #25 Mizzou
There’s no logical explanation for running the ball in that situation- we gained five yards and wasted 30 seconds doing so, time that would have been valuable to have on the 20 yard line. Of all the dumb things done in-game by Drink, these two top the cake. We were out-schemed all game long, and had our fourth string quarterback delivering the ball to our fifth-string receiver to save the season on that final play. We didn’t deserve to win, and yet there we were.rezero wrote: ↑27 Dec 2025 22:02 pm Can anyone explain to me why we ran two running plays with 1:42 in the clock and zero time outs? That is some of the worst posting we have seen for a while. Rezero needs to never be anywhere near the keyboard moving forwardCan anyone explain to me why we ran two running plays with 1:42 in the clock and zero time outs?
Virginia had the ball with 1:42 on the clock
On Mizzou final possession there were 9 pass plays and two running plays.

With less than 2 minutes and 70+ yards to go, no timeouts, running the ball was curious once. Twice it was just stupid. It cost us probably more than 20 precious seconds. Time is our opponent in that situation.winonsports wrote: ↑28 Dec 2025 09:35 amThat is some of the worst posting we have seen for a while. If you see an opportunity and gamble you’ll gash them for a big gain and then can stop the clock on the 1st down, I kind of get it. But twice? We simply didn’t have time for it. It was a miracle Zollers came alive and became Joe Montana for a few snaps and put us in position to win.
Of course then the officials decided to not review for targeting what should have been a late hit and probably personal foul, but yet felt Zollers was hurt enough to force us to remove him. Would have been nice for Drink to go berserk and demand a review. Instead of just nodding and hope for another miracle (which we almost got).
The whole thing was just bizarre and extremely frustrating.

If it's so stupid, then you shouldn't have any problem providing three similar instances where a team ran 10+ plays and DIDN'T run the ball.Armchair QB wrote: ↑28 Dec 2025 10:30 amWith less than 2 minutes and 70+ yards to go, no timeouts, running the ball was curious once. Read what I said. I explained the strategy of running with the time we had left, the distance to go, and no timeouts. If you don’t understand why running TWICE in that situation wasn’t smart, it’s further proof you don’t know sports.
Everyone here knows you aren’t a sports person, at least not football or basketball. Maybe you know baseball or soccer, or some other sport.
