He’s looked good, no doubt about it.crookedfeeder wrote: ↑27 Dec 2025 21:54 pmNice shot from Galvis there. Mike Johnson comparing him to Lane Hutson.Pierre McGuire wrote: ↑27 Dec 2025 21:39 pmPassed over twice, but he’s still draft eligible in June.crookedfeeder wrote: ↑27 Dec 2025 21:30 pm What's the deal with Tomas Galvas? Did he go undrafted in 2025 and is available again 2026? Maybe we should grab his buddy; especially if we get some extra picks.
regardless they're a scary team in this tournie. 7-2 with 12mins left.

Czechs put on a Clinic tonight.
Fins vs. Czech on Monday should be a real fun watch.

He had a knee injury and a concussion in the previous season. He was also listed at 167lbs.
The injury concerns were not invalid.

Sure but players that last until pick 16 all have some concerns.Rollin' on the River wrote: ↑28 Dec 2025 10:10 amHe had a knee injury and a concussion in the previous season. He was also listed at 167lbs.

Well Faulk will likely be moved so that means Army is gonna have to acquire someone in the offseason, otherwise we are looking at Mailloux and Kessel to fill those spots. An offseason signing or trade possibly blocks Jiricek for a couple of years, depending on how well Mailloux progresses.seattleblue wrote: ↑28 Dec 2025 10:43 amdoubtful IMO. has a long way to go defensivelyPierre McGuire wrote: ↑27 Dec 2025 21:13 pmHe will be in the Blues top 4 opening night 2026John Cocktoastin wrote: ↑27 Dec 2025 21:10 pmWow!! Personally I’d rather see Jircek here. We drafted him for a reason, and he’s developing nicely. I’m a firm believer in throwing them into the fire and learning. If he needs time in the AHL, his play or training camp will dictate that.

Some more some less and some just different. I prefer we go with skill and upside which is what we did.Rollin' on the River wrote: ↑28 Dec 2025 12:08 pmTrue. He will be in the Blues top 4 opening night 2026

That would be great. It would mean. Steen, isn't Army. As, no way Army and company puts that much youth on a line.
So I can't really see Steen doing that. With everyone from the
1-17 winners regime, hanging around collecting That regular season profit money.
With a Hockey trade incoming a "Leddy"or "Fowler" will be the prize, and the six year, six million dollar contract that he'll get will be all Bonus!
But fingers crossed you are right.

Adam Jiricek Then (relatively)

Adam Jiricek Now (relatively)

By last report around September, he had put on 25 pounds since the draft. He's still growing.

Agreed unless he takes two massive steps in his development:seattleblue wrote: ↑28 Dec 2025 10:43 amdoubtful IMO. has a long way to go defensivelyPierre McGuire wrote: ↑27 Dec 2025 21:13 pmHe will be in the Blues top 4 opening night 2026John Cocktoastin wrote: ↑27 Dec 2025 21:10 pmWow!! 1) 10 - 15 LBS of lean muscle and added strength without affecting his skating
2) Defense - he competes hard and values shot blocking/lanes but in the NHL his gaps will be exposed in a multitude of ways. He'll need to be a bit quicker on his feet both while defending and in transition. If not he'll get walked like LM was getting walked at the beginning of the year and he'll turn the puck over like MK, LM and TT have been doing. It's one thing I think Lindstein does better than them.

Can’t wait for this game. Finland is playing well so should be a good test for both teams. Looking forward to watching more of Cihar. He’s been really impressive for the Czechscrookedfeeder wrote: ↑27 Dec 2025 22:22 pm Czechs put on a Clinic tonight.

Re: Jiricek
Be a big jump to top 4 RD in the NHL from where he's at. Given his injury history, need to add even more muscle than he already has and the fact that his D game needs work, I think AHL would be the expected destination next year. Might be the only thing that saves Faulk from being traded because why trade him when he's a got a year left and we'll need a 2nd pair RD next year on a short contract.
