Merry Christmas to all
Just Latin No problem --- forti pueri!
It’s been 45 years since I took Latin. I forgot most everything
Yeah, Bing and most translators just do not cut it. 😂
“I can play dominoes better than your brother can play dominoes.”

See guys? I can still remember the Latin I learned from the Catholic Mass when I was a kid! 🤣

Love it!

Hazelwood, two things. One, I was raised Catholic and was "server" at Mass. Getting to ring the bell during mass, or "serving" for a weekday funeral was astounding.

Two, I grew up in south STL, and Hazelwood was this almost fictional place. Furthest north we ever went was to family in now Maryland Heights. You all had curved curbs, driveways, garages and no alleys!

Hi 2112!
My 2 much older brothers grew up on McRee Avenue just north of Tower Grove Park. The oldest is 17 years older than me — I was proof positive Catholics didn’t use birth control — my folks were in their 40’s when I was born. We moved out to Berkeley by Lambert Field when I was 2 years old. Then moved near Old Halls Ferry and I-270 when I was 10, so I wound up in the Hazelwood school system. However, my folks still had friends in South City and we visited them often, so I was no stranger to that area. Once I graduated from UM-Rolla, I lived in Crestwood, since it was much closer to my job. Have been in Texas 30 years now, but when I visit my brother, I still love driving around STL Hills and going to Ted Drewes. Lovely neighborhood.
