Saturday marks the third time in 12 days the Blues and Predators will meet, and needless to say, Nashville has certainly got the better of the Blues, outscoring them 12-4.

“They’ve gotten to our net front, they’ve gotten to a lot of rebounds at our net front, they’ve been heavy,” Montgomery said. “We’ve got to make sure that we’re ready to match that tonight.”

Is Schenn fast enough to join a rush with Kyrou and Beggren

I wouldn’t mind seeing one of the underperforming vets ride the pine while Joseph and Fabbri play…

For what it’s worth, the advanced stats say Kessel has been far better than Tucker and Mailloux.

In the big picture these two guys are placeholders waiting for prospects to emerge, at which point one or both have either grown as a player or they become depth. Couple of seasons down the road the Blues might have Parayko, Fowler, Broberg, Mailloux, Lindstein, and Jiricek in the lineup, if they keep it all in-house.

Not sure how the rest would shake out, but I really liked the way the Neighbours-Schenn-Stenberg line was playing. I understand moving Stenberg down, but it’s a shame with the way he was playing. I’d still try:

Kyrou - Thomas - Berggren
Neighbours - Schenn - Stenberg
Buch - Dvo - Snuggs
Toro - Suter - Joseph

Extras - Sunny/Fabbri

Not saying this is causal, but these stats are interesting.

When Kessel plays 9-4-5
When Mailloux plays 9-13-3
When Tucker plays 10-16-7

It's all the rage on 101.

The whole thing reminds me of Cole. From the hate to the not great, but boring play.

I'm sure he would will end up playing in the league once on a new team. It happens with everyone management don't personally like.

Not sure he will ever reach the Cole level of hate, since he was a 1st rounder with "man strength". LOL. Either way, I also don't get the hate on Kessel. He's not flashy, he makes some mistakes, but he's also no worse than Tucker or early season Mailloux. I do think LM has been getting better and better but also is still having growing pains. I'd play Tucker tonight, just so that he can get his annual McCarron beatdown but rotate Kessel in against some other teams.

PP units:

🥅
Buchnevich
Kyrou Snuggerud Thomas
Faulk

Sundqvist
Schenn Neighbours Dvorsky
Fowler
I'd like to see LM in the second unit.
