Sincere question:
Why exactly do you follow the team AND post here??

Yup, he says he's not been satisfied with the team for a decade, and let's face it, it's difficult to imagine him being satisfied with anything.
And there are ppl who don’t understand rebuilds…Web7 wrote: ↑27 Dec 2025 18:19 pm I’m more shocked that fans think it’s ok for ownership to not even try anymore….. I mean playoff baseball use to be a huge part of life around here … now we have fans that are soft like Charmin….its ok …..I guess there are winners and losers in life ….. it’s pretty obvious with many on here …. Maybe if we actually held them to higher standards they would do something.
I agree the focus should be on an offensive addition at this point. And I do understand your skepticism based on Mo's pitiful history of winter inactivity. But there is a new guy in charge now. Im willing to give him the chance to prove himself over the next year. I think he will be more active than Mo's lazy, pathetic (donkey).
What i am shocked about is posters being oblivious about and in complete ignorance about the plan that bloom very simplistically laid out before the offseason began. Bernie said bloom told him he wanted to be transparent with fans. It’s mind boggling at this point that posters are still ignorant about it when he laid it out perfectly in order to be transparent. He said he would approach veterans about waiving their NTC he did. He said he would accumulate pitching he has. He said he would accumulate pitching he has. He said the cardinals would compete but not at the expense of the future that is what he is doing by trading for pitchers who can help now and in the future. He said the payroll would be about what it would be last season that’s the key people are ignoring. He had no idea how much payroll he would have to spend until he traded arenado gray and Contreras. He did two of them. He said he wants more starting pitching including another veteran starter including a a right handed power hitter and veteran reliever. He will do that. Why do I a believe him? Because he has point by point been doing exactly what he said he would do without deviation from the plan he laid out perfectly for people to understand. He even said they are not averse to signing players to multi year contracts and he will probably do that also. For the first time in along time they have someone in charge with a plan I’m happy for thatWeb7 wrote: ↑27 Dec 2025 18:19 pm I’m more shocked that fans think it’s ok for ownership to not even try anymore….. And how do fans hold them to a higher standard? By not showing up and not watching on television. Check and checkWeb7 wrote: ↑27 Dec 2025 18:19 pm I’m more shocked that fans think it’s ok for ownership to not even try anymore….. Trolling an anonymous message board seeking attention from total strangers says it all.AnExParrot wrote: ↑27 Dec 2025 18:24 pmYup, he says he's not been satisfied with the team for a decade, and let's face it, it's difficult to imagine him being satisfied with anything.
Me? If a retail web site blasts me with stupidity(a wheel to spin, begging for an e-mail, etc.) before I can even search their site for what I want, I close the tab and find a different source for my purchase. This dumb [fork] still follows a team he clearly hates.
Hurry up the clock is ticking!ramfandan wrote: ↑27 Dec 2025 18:37 pm ‘So far’ were the two key words in the title of this thread.
In the two trades thst Bloom has made if he received position players , the the thread may have said.. so far no pitchers have been acquired…
Gray and Contreras are the first two deals… more upcoming before spring training.
And you think scolding ownership in a chat forum is going to do the trick?Web7 wrote: ↑27 Dec 2025 18:19 pm I’m more shocked that fans think it’s ok for ownership to not even try anymore….. There was a time this organization was only concerned with contending for World Championships.Web7 wrote: ↑27 Dec 2025 18:19 pm I’m more shocked that fans think it’s ok for ownership to not even try anymore….. I don't recall that ever being true, at least not as many on CardsTalk saw it. Even back to the MV3 days there were people calling ownership cheap and that they didn't really want to win, in the midst of 100 and 105 win seasons with deep runs in the playoffs.Stlcardsblues wrote: ↑28 Dec 2025 07:59 amThere was a time this organization was only concerned with contending for World Championships.Web7 wrote: ↑27 Dec 2025 18:19 pm I’m more shocked that fans think it’s ok for ownership to not even try anymore….. Then Mo somehow got the fanbase to buy into the idea of just make it and hope for a run. That was the start of the decline of the franchise.
Far too many bought into this being a good approach. It’s the worst place for a franchise to be. If we need to go through a couple of lean years to get back to be a team deemed a serious World Series contender than I am on board.
Time will tell if this rebuild will do that, but there was no realistic path back to World Series contender that didn’t require tearing it down and rebuilding. It’s on Bloom to have this organization on strong footing when they come out of this rebuild.
People are going to gripe just to gripe. Those were deep teams that ownership allowed star power like Larry Walker to be added to at the deadline. When was the last deadline the team added anyone of impact?AnExParrot wrote: ↑28 Dec 2025 08:30 amI don't recall that ever being true, at least not as many on CardsTalk saw it.
