Just how dumb are the "BFIB" and the local media?
Okay, let's trade away our best players for prospects. Let's vow to not spend, not even try to be competitive and alienate real fans that want to show up.
Even if your prospects work out, your model is to trade them for more prospects, that only keeps you in a state of infinite rebuilding. Just how many of your lottery tickets will become hall of famers? Show me those stats.
Just how many lottery tickets do you think you will hit the grand prize on? Even if you get a few lottery ticket wins, the people like Warren Buffet and great investors will still beat you.
Good job, you are turning the Cards into the Pirates. Can you quit being dumb please?

Or we could have continued on the "Spinal Tap- The End Continues" tour.Ike Hammett wrote: ↑22 Dec 2025 12:57 pm Okay, let's trade away our best players for prospects. Let's vow to not spend, not even try to be competitive and alienate real fans that want to show up.

I don't know who or what you're referring to. Just think this current model is terrible and makes no sense. We(the Cardinals) should be looking for the good undervalued deals instead of providing them.Talkin' Baseball wrote: ↑22 Dec 2025 13:03 pmOr we could have continued on the "Spinal Tap- The End Continues" tour.Ike Hammett wrote: ↑22 Dec 2025 12:57 pm Okay, let's trade away our best players for prospects. I love how difficult the concept of a rebuild is to understand. Can't wait for the "Can't Believe They Didn't Acquire Anybody at the Deadline" threads on August 1st when the Cardinals are in fourth place.

"This is Spinal Tap" is a mock documentary about a rock band playing sold out stadiums and chronicles their gradual demise. They are not self-aware enough to realize what is happening.Ike Hammett wrote: ↑22 Dec 2025 13:16 pmI don't know who or what you're referring to. Does the OP have reasonable solutions he wants to offer?
Complaining is easy. Providing answers is not.
Personally I don’t want to see another year like the last few years, and keeping the same players would have led to that. They are long past the ability to fix the plane while it’s in flight.
The only way to significantly improve the team is to take risks with younger players, and to draft/trade in order to develop a young core that Tier One free agents would want to join. No top FA wants to join the hot mess of the past few seasons — and it makes no sense to sign such a free agent until there is solid young core.

At least we can’t watch it on tv since they can’t fix that either

So you want to be in 4th place and trade whatever is good or promising for prospects? You think that is the winning strategy? Thanks for exactly proving my point.NotAFathersDay9871 wrote: ↑22 Dec 2025 13:18 pm I love how difficult the concept of a rebuild is to understand. 2023
71 - 91
2024
83 - 79
2025
78 - 84
What's the definition of insanity? (doing the same thing over & over again and expecting a different result)
And No........BDWJr wasn't going to throw $200-250M in payroll to fix the above problem.

And what caused this? I can state it was the "bfib" and the local media who constantly bash the organization. YOU'RE THE F ing plane inspector and mechanic that created this mess!ClassicO wrote: ↑22 Dec 2025 13:25 pm Does the OP have reasonable solutions he wants to offer?

Obviously the solution is crystal clear. Support your club, show up, spend, and root for your guys to win and succeed!
Now, you got it your way, will you?

Re: Just how dumb are the "BFIB" and the local media?
Sorry, spinal tap and their history is not my thing. Did they play with Ozzie Smith, Mark McGwire or Albert Pujols because Cards baseball is one of my things. And my thing is terrible, with no real signs of improvement along with a stupid model now for success. So when is this hating rebuild going to show me some positive? I have been the only fan in some sections at the games, when are all these people going to show up that want different than me?Talkin' Baseball wrote: ↑22 Dec 2025 13:22 pm"This is Spinal Tap" is a mock documentary about a rock band playing sold out stadiums and chronicles their gradual demise. It's not a rebuild. It's a reset, same as they've been saying for awhile.NotAFathersDay9871 wrote: ↑22 Dec 2025 13:18 pm I love how difficult the concept of a rebuild is to understand. They're resetting to a lower payroll... a small market model... and for some reason, many fans don't want to acknowledge that reality.

Isn't that what you haters and the elites local media like to call yourselves? I'm humble and love rooting for the club but wouldn't go that far. You do though, right? For "fans" that think you are so knowledgeable and like to listen to the local media for advice, you sure seem dumb to me. We were good, you all wanted to change that, soooooo show me something now!
