So essentially we pretty much just traded Contreras to cover the May signing?
Cards got no prospects back?
got an 18yo latin RHP with pretty decent control and a good Slider. Showed well in Low A ball this summer. And a 22/23yo soft tosser (I think)...not the vocal point of the trade...might be a throw in?
And an MLB RHP with knee concerns...I'm not sure if he starts the season....he may be still rehabbing that knee. Probably looking at the summer before we see Robbins. He's likely insurance for the questionable rotation we have at the moment. May doesn't scream stability with health.

No, [decelerate]. We traded WC to accumulate prospects.
Quantity over quality. That’s the new strategy.
No it isn’t, ret@rd. Almost every rebuilding teams trade packages include multiple prospects return for one (maybe two) vet.
So getting a bunch of guys that won’t ever make it is a good thing? I’d rather watch WC hit next year
Fitts and Dobbins are major leaguers, r@(bleep).
Thank God some sanity. We didn't have much leverage with a guy with a NTC that makes a fair amount of money. You got a guy that made it to the majors and pitched games last year. Also a few pitching prospects. Like I said not that much leverage.

I wouldnt, Willy wasn't a problem but he sure wasn’t the solution. We cleared a lot of salary and got a few lottery tickets. Not sure what people were expecting. Mediocre Moe would have only signed a 38 yr old bad reliever by now
