Certainly not the regular trolls on this forum.

And the posters who are fans of other teams certainly don't want to see it.

Done deal.

@PeteNakos
Missouri is hiring Michigan offensive coordinator Chip Lindsey, sources tell
@On3sports. Former North Carolina offensive coordinator leaves Ann Arbor after a season to join Eli Drinkwitz’s staff.

How long before this board's long knives skewer Lindsey with the same hatred as Moore? Probably not long, as it's an extension of their hatred of Drink.

Both have former Auburn coach Mahlzahn ties, probably are familiar with each other.

Has obviously worked with high ceiling QB's.

Plenty of experience which is what Drinkwitz wanted.

Probably checks a lot of boxes not to mention you're not having to pay him to leave another position.

If he can develop Zollers and Sidwar like he helped Maye then I'll take my chances.

That's already started here.

We all can be certain that a portal QB will be coming, to bolster the roster.

It's an extension of their hatred of themselves for being unsuccessful, little people.

My concern is and I know nothing about this guy but I read that it is basically a running attack far too similar to what we have and had have. Do not see that as an attractive pkg for or QB and our recievers

It seems like the real question is how is he in working with and developing QBs. Our running attack was obviously top notch. Maybe we had to rely on it more than we wanted to because our QB play was not good enough. We had a good stable of receivers and a potent running attack. How wasn’t our passing game not better. It should have been more effective with the running game pounding teams.

I want a more balanced offense with a good mix of both running the ball and moving it through the air. We have what we hope is a good young quarterback with another one coming in.

Our only concern should be how can we better develop our young QBs. My only concern with any new OC that we bring in is how is he in developing our QBs.

He what now? Chip arrived at UNC in 2023.

In 2022 Maye put up:
4300 passing yards
698 rushing yards
Completed 66%
157.9 rating
38 passing TDs to 7 picks
7 rushing TDs

Under Chip:
3600 passing yards
449 rushing yards
Completed 63%
149 rating
24 passing TDs and 9 picks
9 rushing TDs

Pretty much all of this stats went down.

What a shame it is that a poster is already trying to shed doubt among the fan base without making the effort to recognize his accomplishments.

Well, he had a part in developing Drake Maye, who is the most exciting young QB in the NFL right now. I think that is enough to get me excited about seeing what he can do with Zollers.

This guy has some bright spots for sure. Drake Maye is the big one. But I wasn't too impressed with Michigan's offense this year or the way top QB recruit Underwood looked. We shall see. This is the Show Me State, and both Drink and the new OC have their work cut out for them in getting the passing offense up to speed.

Welcome aboard Coach Lindsey. Like his experience, but concerns about what we saw from Michigan this past season. Was he hampered by Moore getting in his way? I’ve seen that on social media in a few places. He’s obviously recently coached elite QB talent and probably deserves some credit for Maye.

Underwood is a special talent, any chance he comes with Lindsey? Or are we committed to Zollers? Personally I’d love it if we had both and see who’s better in spring.

This could turn out a good hire, but we’ll have to wait and see. Hope he understands how critical fixing the O Line
Is. That’s job #1.
