He would do as far as I am concerned.
Re: Looks like Michigan OC might be headed to Mizzou
definitely has the experience Eli was talking about and you have to be somebody for a Big Brand to hire you. Plus he has worked with some outstanding QB's like the Number one player in last years recruiting class. hopefully he is good at that as well.
still just speculation, we shall see who does end up here.

Yawn...
Seems like the safest, CYA option. The guy spent the first 20 years or so of his coaching career in high schools.

Go figure Mizzou is favoring actual experience when it comes to filling a key coaching position. Who could have ever seen that coming.edwin drood wrote: ↑20 Dec 2025 15:36 pm Yawn...

Michigan averaged 27.6 points and 399 offensive yards per game this season with Lindsey running the offense.
Mizzou averaged 32.2 points and approximately 429.3 offensive yards per game with Moore running the offense.
It could easily be argued that Michigan had a much easier schedule (only one common opponent - Oklahoma).
Michigan started a true freshman at QB (just turned 18 years old a week before the season started). Mizzou lost their "starter 1B" after one play in game 1 and their "starter 1A" for approximately 2.5 games mid season.

He’d be ok. Not a home run hire IMO. Seems similar to Kirby Moore. Allegedly this past season part of the problem was he let the head coach dictate much of what he did. Sound familiar?
His 2023 offense was great, but he had Drake Maye.
Otherwise nothing stands out.

Does not move the needle for me, he ran the ball more than Moore did. I think we need someone who will open the game up and attack instead of just run, run, pass, kick offense.
Also someone who can help bring a top QB to Mizzou, not going to get a top QB with a boring running game.

Michigan is boring football on steroids. No thanks.

You don’t know ball. This guy was our HC and burnt everything Neal brown built down. And continued to ruin offenses after we canned him

He not Petrino as he is a run first OC. May be the best hire for the ground game and getting most out of Hardy. Would be great if somehow Underwood came along.

I didn’t realize he was hired by the newly fired Michigan coach, not Harbaugh. The best thing he has is that he coached Drake Maye, a total stud. I’d be interested to know which coach Maye connected with the most. The Michigan numbers aren’t great.acco40 wrote: ↑20 Dec 2025 19:35 pm Michigan averaged 27.6 points and 399 offensive yards per game this season with Lindsey running the offense.

Being run first and unlocking the pass game are not mutually exclusive.
To be simplistic I just want to see us use the whole field. Not just throw to boxes outside the numbers from 3 yards behind the line of scrimmage to seven yards past.
