Blues don't need no TOP5 pick

Post by a smell of green grass »

Why would we want to watch a "Quinn Hughes" every game in our jersey for 10 years? It's just as fun to watch a player like that in somebody else's jersey.

Why would we want to get a fresh Round 1 pick, Zeev Buium and 2 other Round 1 picks by the Wild 9 years later. That single round 2 pick that we can get for Kyrou will be so much more uplifting for our roster

Why would we want to watch our rookie tear up the league in the first month of the season? It's much more fun to watch Jiriceck gain weight at eastern Ontario Dairy Queens for 3 years, and then get a raffle chance that he will be a 2nd-liner in 2 more years.

While Kyrou is no Superstar. They don't want his skill playing the ice. Most here get the most joy from a Walker hit, or a Schenn fight.

I don't think most understand that hockey has two seasons, like no other sport and that "Winning hockey" happens in the spring. Not during and after the holiday season.

Furthermore, no one...not one player on MN was drafted by them in the top 5.

The highest pick they've drafted on this team is Rossi at #9.

I'll do the math for you...

1 elite player, taken typically TOP5

=

4 great players taken at #9 and below.

Didn't Hughes just get traded from the Nucks because they are such a trainwreck? His elite talents didn't seem to save them by any means.
