Kyrou Duck Scenario
Pagnotta guy. Just posting what I saw. Same as the Buch thread...
David Pagnotta said, "The Anaheim Ducks have a lot of pieces to potentially make a package for a player like Jordan Kyrou."
Involved in the return might have to be players like Pavel Mintyukov, Sam Colangelo, Tim Washe, Sasha Pastujov, Eric Nilson, and Maxim Masse.

Every Blue over 25 not named Broberg or Hofer for Carlsson
Re: Kyrou Duck Scenario
We'll even toss in ASOGG and his 8 other screen names for future considerations.Harry S Deals wrote: ↑20 Dec 2025 09:02 am Every Blue over 25 not named Broberg or Hofer for Carlsson

Re: Kyrou Duck Scenario
Anaheim doesn't need forward help.
Terry, Sennecke, and Killorn are their top 3 RW.
If the Ducks want to make a push for it this year they need to add a d-man.
They have Solberg & Luneau a year or 2 away.
Solberg could take the place of Zellweger or Mintyukov if one of them is traded.
Luneau will probably replace Gudas next year if he isn't traded this year for immediate help.
Anaheim should keep Mintyukov.
Zellweger is undersized. Hard to gauge his trade value though.
I've mentioned before that the Ducks are going to have to extend a handful of guys next summer that will push their cap limit so taking on another big contract is very unlikely unless they dump a big salary.
New Jersey, Seattle, Columbus, & Buffalo need top 6 winger help.

Didn't Mintyukov ask for a trade earlier? Not sure how that impacts things, but you can never have enough top 4 D in the pipeline...TheHighHat wrote: ↑20 Dec 2025 09:19 am Anaheim doesn't need forward help.

I know the rumors were flying a month or so ago but I don't recall hearing if it was confirmed that Mintyukov asked for a trade.Army's Mom wrote: ↑20 Dec 2025 09:27 amDidn't Mintyukov ask for a trade earlier? Unless there is an unresolvable conflict with Minty & Q, the Ducks need to keep him.
I would love him here. I just don't see Kyrou as a fit.
Faulk or Parayko is what they need.
Having LaCombe, Mintyukov, and Solberg as their LHD for years is the ideal situation for the Ducks.
They need a good RHD to slot Helleson and Trouba properly.
Gudas should be their #7
I believe Zellweger is their current roster trade bait.

Re: Kyrou Duck Scenario
Interesting. Honestly, I don't see Kyrou waiving his no-trade to go to any of those teams. He's not going to Buffalo. Perhaps Columbus, but Seattle seems like a stretch. And then there's the whole "New Jersey is in a large market and is close to NYC" thing that could appeal to him, but man it's disgusting over there in that part of NJ, and driving to the rink every day would suck.TheHighHat wrote: ↑20 Dec 2025 09:19 am

Read my lips…NTC
Same as several others on this team. They’re not going anywhere if they don’t want to

Re: Kyrou Duck Scenario
Until there's some indication that Kyrou wants out, not sure any speculation is warranted. Granted, given the way many "fans" talk about Kyrou, I wouldn't be surprised if he wanted to put some distance between them and him.

Re: Kyrou Duck Scenario
Teams have handle NTC's before and push a player to team not favorable, it does happened. Now Kyrou's case I would not be too pickynetboy65 wrote: ↑20 Dec 2025 11:18 amSure, but it would depend on where. Just gedause Blues Talk doesn’t like him doesn’t mean the team is willing to give him away.

Re: Kyrou Duck Scenario
Besides that no one said they do not like Kyrou, what is there not to like with him. We are just saying lets save 8 mill and use it too keep our newer prospects. I do not care what we get for Kyrou as we are not going to a win a cup anytime soon with him or without him.netboy65 wrote: ↑20 Dec 2025 19:03 pmLike who has done that? Circumventing an NTC with Waivers
Barclay Goodrow (2024): The Rangers placed him on waivers to move him to the San Jose Sharks because his 15-team no-trade list included San Jose. This isn’t a direct trade of an NTC to a non-list team, but it results in the player ending up somewhere he didn’t formally approve via trade, showing another practical workaround

Re: Kyrou Duck Scenario
Bennett shows up for the playoffs which is great, but I'm not giving up Kyrou for him. And Kyrou comes off as way too soft for the Panthers. I don't think either team would make that swap.
