He already said he doesn’t want to go there.

Fair enough. Just posted something new for the asylum to chew on. I like Binnington and feel like he should retire a Blue but it’s unlikely with this team playing like this.

Problem is a small market and his value is low for several reasons.FortyOunceCurls wrote: ↑19 Dec 2025 10:11 am Fair enough. Just posted something new for the asylum to chew on. I like Binnington and feel like he should retire a Blue but it’s unlikely with this team playing like this.

He hasn’t been good full stop. I wasn’t blaming the team entirely even though re-reading my post it might have read that way. No, he has been bad.
However, he is a goalie that elevates his game in the playoffs. We have seen what he can do. I can see a team take a chance.

Re: Let the Binner intrigue begin again
Pickard will catch fire for them like he did in the playoffs last year. I’m not a fan of the Oilers at all and wish they’d lose every game, but I still think they are the best in the west right now come playoff time. VGK, Dallas and Avs all look and feel better, but none of them have beat the Oilers the last two seasons.
And I don’t think Binner goes anywhere this season. Maybe next year as a rental, but it won’t be to the Oilers.

Best teams in the west?
I think the Wild have to be in that conversation. I wouldn't want to play that team.

Oilers v Wild on Saturday. I'm a fan of hockey so I'll be watching.TruBlueFan_1970 wrote: ↑19 Dec 2025 11:39 amAgreed and my mistake omitting them. They are absolutely on fire!!!
If the wild crush them, I think it turns up the heat on Edmonton's GM. Should be a good one though.

Bet they’re not on his trade list. Either way Army might as well keep him he has no trade value right now.theograce wrote: ↑19 Dec 2025 10:17 amProblem is a small market and his value is low for several reasons.FortyOunceCurls wrote: ↑19 Dec 2025 10:11 am Fair enough. Binnington should bring back a first-round pick and player/prospect.

How do all of you know what Binner's trade value is? I don't think you really do.

Re: Let the Binner intrigue begin again
Ek has the following speculation on his site:
To get Binner for Woll, Toronto would also have to give up Nick Robertson or Calle Jarnkrok to make the money work out...more if Army retains.
To get Schenner, a package of a first-round pick (would have to be 2028 as they don't have any until then), a top prospect like Easton Cowan, Fraser Minten (who now plays for Boston...lol Ek!) or Ben Danford… with the Leafs possibly needing to throw in an additional sweetener or have another team eat salary.
So it would look something like this:
TOR gets:
Binner
Schenn
STL gets:
Woll
Robertson
Cowan
2028 1st
I'm not so sure the Leafs can afford to further gut their picks or prospects like that.
