Powerful and Drinkwitz never go hand in hand.
And how does he expect a disappointing season of 8&4 to drum up enthusiasm or money for a team that can't pass the ball or even run the ball against good competition? He needs to quit blaming others for his own shortcomings against the Big Boys of the SEC.

Exhibit A of the attitude explaining why Mizzou won’t become a big boy.icon wrote: ↑16 Dec 2025 15:51 pm Powerful and Drinkwitz never go hand in hand.![]()

Going for 30 wins in 3 years at Mizzou? Meh. Show me more coaches. Me, step up? Preposterous.

Ding Ding Ding Ding Ding! You win the Bag of Hammers prize.
I am referencing which apparently went over your head the Cancer Drink is referring to with CFB. If it is not addressed then this whole thing will come crashing down. But alas you didn't hear that part or listen to the very end when Drink is pleading for NIL moolah to reach Roberts or most likely he is gone. But you be you

What? That cancer called NIL has allowed teams like Missouri, Ole Miss, Oregon and Indiana to reach the levels they have. Every single team loses players to the portal. Nothing you say will ever go over my head.Caregiver1 wrote: ↑16 Dec 2025 16:05 pm Ding Ding Ding Ding Ding! You win the Bag of Hammers prize.

Re: Powerful message From Drink Todays Press Conference
The frustration with the portal and its lack of basic structure is apparent. Who knows if the player contracts can be enforced. It will be interesting if players become 'trapped' in the portal. Although, with the amount of tampering going on no one should be in the portal who already doesn't have interest or a deal. When there are no league rules, or no enforcement, what a cluster. Seemed Drink didn't like the 'one and done' portal.
Re: Powerful message From Drink Todays Press Conference
but many of us were led to believe the new contract included much more money for NIL? it did for him and assistants but the whole point was to gain spending power to keep your best players.
IF you look back over several players most of the HS ones we got real excited about are mostly long gone. Get a couple of 5 star DE's? GONE. Skill players who finally are productive? GONE like Manning and could see why Heygood would go.
Here's the deal too. IF your Roberts if Hardy is committed to stay why would he? Anywhere else he would be getting most of the reps and glory. Here he is a nice compliment but that doesn't work well in NIL enviro. Besides IF he stays the backup looked like a keeper so if you look at position group you only have so many dollars for that room. IF he goes none can blame him and we will wish him well. please stay we whisper anyway. LOL.
But the DE leaving? that is a killer as with both starters gone that really thins the room UNLESS he isn't what we hoped he would be and he sees himself being behind top 4. nice he had 5 stars but that means diddly once they hit the field.
Eli has to keep a big chunk for doing what he is best at the Portal.

Far removed from a Mizzou attitude.
Re: Powerful message From Drink Todays Press Conference
I love Jamal Roberts and hope to hell they can hang on to him. He's a player that can be a difference maker and imo will /can manage 1200-1500 total yards for a team with his receiving abilities, putting him on par with the likes of a Hardy.
Having said that and Having Hardy on board, if money it tight and it had to come down to Jamal or Donovan Olugbode....I want the latter. Olug is a star in the making at a position the team desperately needs and Missouri needs to hold on to him at all cost.
