Here in San Antonio on ESPN+, we got the Canadian SN feed rather than the usual FanDuel Midwest feed. Was nice hearing competent broadcasters for a change.

Not as good as Kelly & Pang, or John Forslund of Seattle (formerly Carolina), or the Dallas crew with Daryl Reaugh, or the recently retired Pat Foley of the Blackhawks, but the SN crew was pretty solid.

And the color guy didn’t talk over the PxP guy or when there was close action around the net. Joey, are you taking notes????

Kudos to the Blues. Excellent. Faulk, Hofer, Stenberg a player!

1-0 might not be my favorite scoreline, but the win total is where it matters if they want to crawl back into any sort of race. We allowed a few big scoring chances again, but more right-side-of-puck positions tonight than has been (we've been wrong-sided a ton and it's led to fast and furious goals from the opposition on the worst nights). Felt like the effort ticked up a notch, and felt like the players coming into the lineup tonight looked the part.

Went tonight. They looked great. A lot of great scoring chances. It was nice to hear the arena collectively boo when Thomas and buchnevich failed to get a shot off on that 2 on 1.

Agree on Kessel. It is like his stick and the puck have undiagnosed allergies!

I like Tucker better than Kessel, but the fact is neither are regulars. This team lacks a veteran bottom pair Dman. And for the record, I’m glad it’s not Leddy, as it was time for him to go.

This was their most complete north/south game of the season. Very few dimwitted miscues at the offensive blue line tonight. They played with speed thru the neutral zone and if they didn’t have a play at the line they made sure they got it in and behind the Jets’s D.

Agree, and the new guys looked outstanding. Again, idk what happened with Berggren in Detroit, but if he plays like this most of the time then he'll be good for our team.

I thought Monty was messing with us having Berggren and Stenberg on the same line 28/29

By going 5-5 in their last 10, the Blues are now ahead of the Jets, Blackhawks, and Predators, but each of those teams has 2 games in hand. 4 out of a WC spot.

...and our goal differential increased by 1 to -36!

Honestly, I would prefer to see Skinner up here instead of Kessel. I thought he looked really good in the one game he played. The problem is that if they try to send either Kessel or Tucker down, they will lose them on waivers. Not a huge loss with Kessel, but I’m guessing they don’t want to waste an asset. So I think we are stuck with those two for now.

Seems like they gave up less high danger chances but Hofer still had to play great. Can Binner step up his game tonight?

Lol my wife said she hasn't noticed him anymore that's great news. Give him time he's going to make us forget Bolduc
Fewer doubters around these days.

Tough start plus/minus is ugly but he's not playing to that......he might well have the best shot of all the D guys and he sees the ice well moving the puck. He has size and strength and willing to use it.

Love how Monty put him on the pp just a matter of time and experience and he's going to be a player as I see it.

Doesn't really matter what Zack does but what Logan does. Zach trending to a 34 pt -14 season.

Blues played great in front of Hofer in a rivalry match but i could totally see them lay an egg tonight vs the Rags.

It's another test, there have been many. Could be hard to muster the same level of energy, the young guys need to help with that. I'll be watching specifically to see if Dvorsky can keep his feet moving in a back-to-back.

LAS VEGAS – Jake Allen made 36 saves to give the New Jersey Devils a 2-1 shootout victory against the Vegas Golden Knights at T-Mobile Arena on Wednesday.

“Nothing was getting by Jake tonight,” Devils coach Sheldon Keefe said. “That was a great performance by him. … When you have that type of goaltending, you’re going to have a real good chance.”

Bratt scored the only goal in the shootout with a Toropchenko type move.
