Re: GDT: Jets at Blues 7:00 FanDuel
Hofer tonight, Binner tomorrow. If that matters.
Re: GDT: Jets at Blues 7:00 FanDuel
What are the lines?
It is what it is.
Still a fan.
Still happy to see Otto.
He could use more seasoning in AHL. Hope he has a good showing.
The other guy--ehhhh Probably will provide a spark in the short term.

Re: GDT: Jets at Blues 7:00 FanDuel
I'm excited to see Stenberg though. It would make not demanding Knies in that ROR trade a lot more palatable if he shows promise.
Re: GDT: Jets at Blues 7:00 FanDuel
Knies? Why do you think we would’ve gotten him? That seems a bit extreme and ridiculous. Let’s go Otto. What kind of lines we got tonight?
Re: GDT: Jets at Blues 7:00 FanDuel
Because Knies at that time was not Knies today. Go look at Toronto boards when that trade was made. They fully expected Knies was going the other way and were surprised (relieved) when he wasn't. It wasn't until that playoffs that Knies broke out. A few of us here were pretty upset ROR did not return him in that deal. Giroux had returned Tippet for example the prior year.
Re: GDT: Jets at Blues 7:00 FanDuel
Fans can say what they want. Look what people say here. The Leafs early on said no on Knies.

It was all over. It’s Canada. Leafs are talked about daily. Knies was a no go. Power forwards take time, and they weren’t interested in overpaying with him.MiamiLaw wrote: ↑17 Dec 2025 12:11 pmWhere have you seen that?theograce wrote: ↑17 Dec 2025 12:11 pmFans can say what they want. #stlblues held an optional morning skate. Montgomery didn't have the pairings finalized yet. Best guess:
Buchnevich-Thomas-Fabbri
Stenberg-Dvorsky-Neighbours
Schenn-Suter-Berggren
Toropchenko-Sundqvist-Joseph
Broberg-Parayko
Kessel-Justin Faulk
Fowler-Mailloux
Hofer

I remember it differently. In that it was mostly assumed that Knies was untouchable. I don't recall the assumption the Blues would've landed him, at all.MiamiLaw wrote: ↑17 Dec 2025 12:09 pmBecause Knies at that time was not Knies today. Obviously I'm not in Canada so I didn't have the opportunity to see that but you would think the multitude of posters over at HF at the time would have been very exposed to it and I don't remember it being mentioned.theograce wrote: ↑17 Dec 2025 12:18 pmIt was all over. In any event, rentals of that caliber were returning high end prospects and I am still disappointing that Army settled for a low end 1st for him way before the TDL. As I said, if Stenberg can show something tonight, it would sting less.
