Celebrini
My goodness, what a talent! 3rd in the NHL in points at freaking 19. Also Will Smith nearly PPG at 20. Michael Misa waiting in the wings too. Ugh…
Re: Celebrini
He made some plays tonight that only a handful of guys can make. He’s a phenom

Sn Jose is Exhibit A as how to rebuild...after years of sucking they are now better than the Blues. Blues are in Year 1 of sucking thanks to Army.

Then defend your position that Army doesn't suck.Backesdraft wrote: ↑17 Dec 2025 06:57 am Took 3 posts for a topic on Celebrini’s talent to morph into an Army sucks thread. Effing asylum.

Re: Celebrini
You are 100% correct. What an amazing team San Jose is going to have in the very near future. They have multiple young kids with elite skills that now just need a supporting cast around them and they are set. We need some of that here. If I was Army I wouldn't wait, I would collect draft picks and prospects. The half and half strategy is a methodology that leads to mediocrity. We need that elite level talent that is capable of winning games by themselves. That is what players like Celebrini potentially brings, every night. Anyway we have suffered enough this season its time to have a clear drafting based direction for the next two years.ShakeyWalton wrote: ↑16 Dec 2025 23:44 pm My goodness, what a talent! 3rd in the NHL in points at freaking 19. Re: Celebrini
Fun fact. The San Jose Sharks Director of Amateur Scouting is John Davidson's son-in-law, Chris Morehouse.
He was in town with his wife and John's other daughter for a concert this summer and I talked hockey with him. My wife works with the local daughter.
Nice guy.
Still remember the time I accidentally cut off John at a four-way stop. He poked his head out the window and gave me the bird. Totally my fault. Not the first time I've been given the bird, but definitely the most memorable.

6 months ago it was "we were 1.6 seconds from going to the second round" to 4 months ago "there's no way we should miss the playoffs and the re-whatever is over" to "trade everything and everyone and start from scratch"
Excellent work asylum.
Yes Celebrini and Will Smith are amazing players. How many years of just absolutely dreadful hockey has San Jose gone through to get them?

Re: Celebrini
I’m not a follower of junior hockey, so I’m not sure. If he is though and we have a chance to draft him, I hope we lose 10-1 every night the rest of the way.Zizzle1297 wrote: ↑17 Dec 2025 07:07 amIs McKenna as good or better than Celbrinni and Bedard?ShakeyWalton wrote: ↑16 Dec 2025 23:44 pm My goodness, what a talent! 3rd in the NHL in points at freaking 19. this exactly.. people are losing their minds with under a half of a season like those.. now put 5 or 6 of them in a row..TheJackBurton wrote: ↑17 Dec 2025 08:36 am 6 months ago it was "we were 1.6 seconds from going to the second round" to 4 months ago "there's no way we should miss the playoffs and the re-whatever is over" to "trade everything and everyone and start from scratch"

Re: Celebrini
A fair question would be are you willing to punt this season and the next four for a guaranteed roster the likes of San Jose’s right now? I’m thinking pretty hard about that personally.TheJackBurton wrote: ↑17 Dec 2025 08:36 am 6 months ago it was "we were 1.6 seconds from going to the second round" to 4 months ago "there's no way we should miss the playoffs and the re-whatever is over" to "trade everything and everyone and start from scratch"

Look at what the Blues have done since then with not makin the playoffs, and pooopin the bed when they have ever since the cup year. San Jose is absolutely stacked now and the foreseeable future, and alls they had to do was suck in the regular season too? That’s the epitome of the phrase ‘short term pain for longterm gain.’
The goal should always be to be excellent, however it takes to get there…not struggle with mediocrity and a handful of hope.
Also, i remember alot of people thinkin Celebrini was gonna bust when he was drafted, man has he shut them up. What a joy to watch. They also have Dickinson on the backend with all their other gems too, I think he’s gonna be special also.
Re: Celebrini
If the team was committed to a tank (like SJ has been for the last 2 or 3 years), I think the attitude would be much different though so I think your conclusion is faulty. This team is operating as if it is trying to win a Cup, so of course people are (upset) that this year is probably lost and the Blues are not on a good track to get the high end elite players you want either.TheJackBurton wrote: ↑17 Dec 2025 08:36 am 6 months ago it was "we were 1.6 seconds from going to the second round" to 4 months ago "there's no way we should miss the playoffs and the re-whatever is over" to "trade everything and everyone and start from scratch"

The organization is in trouble (from a relevancy standpoint) moving forward. Any other thought/position is ignorance or denial.MiamiLaw wrote: ↑17 Dec 2025 10:41 amIf the team was committed to a tank (like SJ has been for the last 2 or 3 years), I think the attitude would be much different though so I think your conclusion is faulty.
