You gave a fair write up. Well balanced praise and criticism.....and open to Drink growing into a top nation coach which is where I'm at.Mizzoufan443 wrote: ↑16 Dec 2025 02:53 am If his tenure at Mizzou is any indication, he wouldn’t last very long at a place that cares about substance as much as it does show. Drink’s VERY good at show. But he hasn’t turned his high level recruits into a disciplined yeah team able to beat the big boys. His tenure at Mizzou has been successful and it’s hard to dispute that. But, the problems with little things: team discipline, special teams, penalties, clock management, along with general offensive design, the things higher level people see and care about (especially at a storied program like Michigan)—would become obvious pretty quickly. Though Drink would undoubtedly pull off some fantastic recruits, his ego would probably get in the way of success-and success at Michigan is national championship or bust (and beating Ohio State). Heck, maybe he’s got one special year or two in him, and perhaps he’s capable of change for the better. But I wouldn’t bet on it and if I’m Michigan I’d steer very clear.

Boy are you gullible.
Well balanced? His limited praise is phrased within a backhanded compliment.
Fair? His pile of criticism is myopic and exaggerated.

the coach who was just fired was a "big name brand>"hdhntr148 wrote: ↑15 Dec 2025 07:57 amBig Brands don't settle for second tier coaches with no track record against other big brands. I saw one MI site discussion board who were insulted at the very idea of bringing his name to the party. LOL.LGB73 wrote: ↑15 Dec 2025 07:33 am I always thought Jesse Minter should have gotten the Michigan job but maybe he's set on being a NFL coach. I'd certainly reach out to see if he's interested.
I'd be shocked if Drinkwitz is the hire. About the only two things he does well are: 1) Talk a good game and 2) Back it up against lesser programs.
