If we played without goalies the Blues would lose
Seriously, we can't keep the puck in the Ozone even with the extra player. Its crazy to see how bad we play with our goalie pulled
Re: If we played without goalies the Blues would lose
We have had so few shots many periods this season. I’ve
Written that when we are struggling, shoot low on goal (so the goalie likely won’t catch it) and two guys crash the net and bat at the rebound. Cause a little chaos around their net and get their players running around. On 5 on 5 we pass and pass til the other team pushes the puck out of their zone (way too frequent)
Just get the shot off there might as well not be a goaltender as the poster implies

I have said this before and I 100% believe the Blues should never pull their goalie for any reason. Ever. They are the worst team in history when either team is playing 6 on 5. There is nothing the Blues can do about other teams pulling their goalie, but they do have control over whether or not they pull the goalie. It is the definition of insanity to keep trying something that doesn't do anything but completely seal their fate.

Ok well right now we play with goalies and we lose so what's the difference??
Re: If we played without goalies the Blues would lose
Yea for most teams it’s a smart gamble but the Blues concede a goal within 10 or 20 seconds and never establish control.WeWentBlues0819 wrote: ↑16 Dec 2025 09:52 am I have said this before and I 100% believe the Blues should never pull their goalie for any reason. They definitely are the worst team I’ve ever seen by far in either 6 on 5 situation.

Exactly. If we can’t be effective in the OZone and spend 70% of the game in the DZone it’s very hard to win. We have no offensive strategy. We cross the blue line and just give the puck to the other team.

No opponent needs to work on their breakouts in the morning skate.Galatians221jb1 wrote: ↑16 Dec 2025 10:05 amExactly. Re: If we played without goalies the Blues would lose
it was embarrassing watching Nashville active and moving around on the Power play, getting guys open in danger zones, or wide open right in front.
then the blues, stand around, pass, move, pass, stand around, bad pass, out of zone
the lack of depth in Org is a major albatross for this team. Defensively, they are worst than last year, with turds like leddy and the crew.
Broberg is the only top 2-3 on the team, logan is getting better but still not breaking a top 4. and colton is a #3 on a good team.
#55 is also not a very smart player, last night, as he has in past, Nashville hits puck with high stick in Blues end, Ref, right in front of him has the arm up for high stick, so what does he do, he touches it, allowing the puck to now be in play, and nashville steals it, bang, goal. He uses his head, he lets nashville touch it, and play is dead. And you could hear guys yelling to not touch it. #55 is regressing, deal him while he has value.

if the blues cant keep the puck in the o zone with 6 players, do ypu really think theyd be able to retain posessipn with 5? the opponent wouldnt just burn out the clock and we still lose.WeWentBlues0819 wrote: ↑16 Dec 2025 09:52 am I have said this before and I 100% believe the Blues should never pull their goalie for any reason. Re: If we played without goalies the Blues would lose
I just posted in another thread;
"Binny and Hoff both have been getting bombarded mentally this season. Goaltenders are all crazy in some sence, and everything that has been going on simply compounds how they handel their style of backstopping a team that won't help keep the puck out of our zone once in a while."
It doesn't really matter about having an extra guy out there if ya pull the goalie before we get controll of the puck in the bad guys end.
