I suspect many on this forum were athletes to varying degrees. High ankle sprains are the worst. You can't even play through the pain. The ankle just won't work. This is a terrible injury.

I got a high ankle sprain working at the family business one year. The high ankle sprain happened in July/August and I finally stopped treating it in October of the same year.

My son had a high ankle sprain trading for baseball his senior year in HS. Hampered him greatly. He claims it still bothers him as he plays a lot of golf…..he’s 43.
