Krug wasn't an extension, was he? Thought he was just a flat-out bad contract. Plus, Krug at least had the decency to endure a career-ending injury that helped us recoup some cash and open up a spot. I'll never understand the Fowler extension.

It was a totally unwarranted risk that, thus far, is blowing up in the team's face.

You might be correct about Krug. Can’t recall for sure.

Fowler had a much better game tonight…but the team is so discombobulated if that is a word. So little hope and even worse with the Holloway injury.

Move Fowler up with Parayko. Sign Suter pair him with Mailloux. Trade Faulk and put Broberg and Tucker together. See what happens. Come trade deadline and Parayko still not playing well, trade him and figure it out next year on defense. We could sign Jiricek to an ECL next year and bring him in or sign a top FA dman if any good ones are available. We're pretty much stuck with whom we've drafted and hoping they come along.
