early returns on 2025 Draft from the plate side was HORRIBLE....they WHIFFED alot at the plate. Flipside with the Frodo draft from 2024...they all could take a walk...but like you said, outside of JJ you had Petrutz (He never met a 1B/RF line he didn't like ~ Pull Happy), and Gazdar the offensive output has been putrid at best. Yeah, Jo Jo was probably a great way to go. I wanted Hernandez, but hopefully Doyle will make it big for us. Hope he is working on a couple of supplemental pitches over the winter! The 'Heat" will only get him so far. I like the other kid from Tennessee.I think we may have got a bargain on that pick.craviduce wrote: ↑12 Dec 2025 17:01 pmDoh....JoJo Parker slipped my mind....5 of those 6 were my top 5, then I had another 5 I could live with....like a 5B list. I was advocating for Yesavage over a HS SS if JJ Wetherholt wasn't there at pick 7 in 2024. Turns out Griffen was a great pick too. We couldn't go wrong at pick 7.Jobafish wrote: ↑13 Dec 2025 02:08 amCrav, I too was on the jojo hype train. Witherspoon's scouting reports just remind me of Yesavage. 4 plus pitches. 60 overall grade.
Crav and others probably have seen them pitch in college. I haven't read up on Tolle

Response to the Rebird Rant author:
Nobody is under the in the first round. Nor should the Cardinals be making a sneaky reach with the 13th overall pick. Either Bogenpohl is deserving of the pick or not. The Cardinals also have the 32nd pick if he fits there.

I wonder why no mention of Mo State Campus Legend and former 4th Round Pick, Tate Matheny?
His teammate Zack Stewart took the opportunity and transferred to the Arkansas Razorbacks, looking to pursue the College World Series. But Bogenphl was adamant on staying at Missouri State, as he wants to become the next campus legend following the likes of Ryan Howard, Jake Burger, Drake Baldwin, Luke Voit, and Shaun Marcum. After only 2 seasons at Missouri State, Bogenpohl is on track to reach this legacy.

I’m kind of surprised he’s #40, honestly…
Two All 2nd Team MVC Honors is nice and all, but we’re talking MVC … and Top 40 in the Draft? HS, SEC, ACC, B12, Independents, B10, Big West, AAC, Sunbelt, C-USA… #18 MVC?The Bears' star center fielder has already accomplished much in his career. He was voted NCBWA Freshman All-American In Second Team in 2024, Honorable Mention All-MVC in 2024, MSU Danny Cook Rookie of the Year in 2024, All-MVC Second Team in 2025, and MVC All-Tournament in 2025.
