I hear you, and you might be right, but I have to wonder if that is truly the plan, why pay the premium for a good executive when any cheap puppet will do? It could be argued that hiring him ahead of time incurred even more cost. I kind of liked the integration period so he didn’t have to jump in blindly and get tied up with so much of everything all at once.

Not saying you’re wrong, just hoping so. Time will tell and it’s still early, to say the least.

Well, the Cards just ponied up 20 million in the Gray trade purely for the purpose of obtaining higher quality prospects in return.

Don't recall a lot of that happening under the previous regime, at least not in the 20 million+ range.
