Wow! I never meant to hurt his feelings by simply pointing out facts that show his statement was wrong. I think I will just avoid replying to him next time. I don't want to inflict too much hurt on him.

You're not alone...he reported me for disagreeing with him...he appears to need attention and it's sad...

Geesh! That is very sad. I wish we had a, "here's a hug" emoji here that I could send him.WLTFE wrote: ↑14 Dec 2025 16:46 pmYou're not alone...he reported me for disagreeing with him...he appears to need attention and it's sad...

The Cardinals have produced MLB players as well or even better than than most teams, but of late they have not produced stars. Now the Cardinals MiLB needs to continue producing MLB players while mixing in a few MLB stars. Then the BOTB will be ready to make a few trades/signings to make this team a contender.sikeston bulldog2 wrote: ↑13 Dec 2025 07:37 amI know you are deep into the archives. I admire your diligence. But none of the names you mention were household names across baseball, only that n STL.Cranny wrote: ↑13 Dec 2025 07:29 amGee, I don’t know, SB. Maybe guys like Wong, Wacha, Gonzalez, DeJong, Helsley, Hudson, Gallen, Edman, Winn, Burleson, Herrera, Nootbaar, etc. To name a few.sikeston bulldog2 wrote: ↑13 Dec 2025 07:20 am Who. Who have we drafted then developed into a household name. Have we forgotten them. Who again?
They all were good players but none to the point of stardom. The kind of player that carries a team. That type of development is missing. You think.

In my world when you accuse someone of "not manning up" based upon what they have said about "wisdom" and "experience - you're insulting someone. I guess we don't live in the same worlds. You and your buddies need to lighten up, and stop being so accusatory and harsh. Get off your judgmental bandstands.zuck698 wrote: ↑14 Dec 2025 16:30 pmWhat insults? "All Stars" is that they historically have drafted toward the end of the 1st round. It's the penalty to be paid for
having winning season after winning season.
Of course it's true. Take the time to check it out.
This isn't hockey Cranny. If it was I would agree with you. But stars for the MLB come from various rounds, not just top 10 picks. Some recent examples: Mookie Betts 5th, Semien 6th, DeGrom 9th, J.D. Martinex 20th, etc. Another example is that 30 of the 54 All-Stars in 2021 were taken in the 2nd round or later. You are just plain wrong here on your stance!
You are wrong in your statement that only stars come from the top ten in the draft. Are you standing by that statement?
Re: In my opinion it's defense first
Please don't attempt gas lighting me, as if I am at fault here! Cranny, "not manning up", is simply saying step-up and be a man, and take responsibility, for your actions and your words! You did not accept the fact that you were wrong, so I said for you to "man up"! It is that simple, and sorry you took that as an insult. As far as lightening up, I would suggest you take your own advice on that one.Cranny wrote: ↑14 Dec 2025 17:53 pmIn my world when you accuse someone of "not manning up" based upon what they have said about "wisdom" and "experience - you're insulting someone. Nice baseball conservation.

With the Cardinals lack of good starting pitching in my opinion any trade they make should be for defense first, then hitting second.
Re: In my opinion it's defense first
It's amazing!...attacks everyone for not talking baseball and whines when he is called out for his bull[shirt]...sad and pathetic but harmless
