None of them look like McDavid or Makar because they aren't. Those are generational players.
This is the problem I have with what you are saying. Not a single person has argued anything like this. Other than some small offensive flashes from Dvorsky on the powerplay, none of them are showing the flashes of potential that you often see from rookies. You expect some mistakes and inconsistencies, but you also expect flashes of talent.
Mailloux has shown jack [shirt]. When he has a very average game where he isn't a colossal liability, everyone wants to pat him on the back. The facts are that he's an "offensive defenseman" who has 1 whole assist in 19 games and, otherwise, is a -18. That is a [fork]ing trainwreck.

Again and again LM has less than 30 NHL gp it's going to be a process many have said it over and over. Too many times he's pinned in his own end which is also a team defense issue as we know.
He has started to flash some offensive abilities he's going to keep getting better check back after a 100 NHL games let's see where he is then.
Blues fans were all hoping kids would come up and overachieve a bit or provide the best case scenarios. We see this with Snuggerud and Neighbours, Holloway and Broberg we didn't see yet from DD Mailloux or Kaskimaki all in limited time
He didn't have much to prove. He just needed to run his body into others. He didn't. Goals by youth on this team can get one benched.
Clearly nothing to see at this point. And no I wouldn't think it's gonna get better for him.
Unless he first understands what they'll want from him, then I'd suggest he give army a piece prize.
To me Dvo looks the same he has always looked.
He is very smart. Defensively and somewhat a shot.
But that's all I've ever seen from him

At first it was 10 games. Now it is 30. Harry, he isn't ready. The numbers show it. He blows. Maybe he will be better in the future but he is one of the worst dmen in the league right now.

Yep and he will only get better in the NHL not the AHL. We all wanted him to come out of the gate on fire but it looks like he's going to need time which is not that unusual. With a better D corp around him maybe he'd look a little better

He's really got no where to go but up. But what worries me, as a lot of people have said, is that we are not even seeing some signature flashes of great offensive ability that are supposed to be his hallmark. He's got size and he seems to be a decent skater for his size, but he has not one time this year made me go "oh, there it is! That's why the Blues were so high on this guy.".
I can very much live with a project if he is showing why it is worth the investment. Mailloux is not even giving you those nuggets. Like last year, Snuggerud came in and you immediately saw that shot. Dvorsky came in and you saw the abilities. Were they elite level? No. Did they need work? Absolutely., But you see it. You see something to build on. I have not seen it with LM at all. And the numbers...ooof.

Hes the only defenseman (player for that matter) to show any physicality besides Tucker. He has obviously been told to cover the front of the net because he is there 90% of the time. Does he bite sometimes? Yeah. But as has been stated over and over, he is a rookie and is going to make mistakes.
I've seen him take some shots. He has a great wrist shot. He just needs to get some confidence and they need to slowly give him more leash. Also, this team gets like 10 shots a game so there isn't a ton of room for him to use his offense.

None of the other Blues d appears on even the Top 10 and they've had the same goalies.
I mean there are many variables. Hes looked better since he came back up. Im not going to lose any sleep over it. I believe my eyes over stats, always.
