It's too bad he didn't want to stay and work to get better. It will be difficult to succeed somewhere better with that kind of attitude.JW wrote: ↑10 Dec 2025 17:10 pm https://x.com/Hayesfawcett3/status/1998890840547262560

Tell the truth, as far as you know the kid worked his (donkey) off. Just a reminder that the portal works both ways. Ask Kewan Lacy. It's too bad he didn't want to stay and work to get better.

I see the two Georgia honks on this forum couldn't wait to attack the Mizzou program after hearing this.
Re: Marquise Davis to the portal
Yeah I'm one.
Davis is looking for a better spot. His choice.

Re: Marquise Davis to the portal
I hope that’s a good sign in terms of getting Hardy and Roberts back next year. Maybe Davis knows something
Hate losing him, he’s special. But it’s the nature of things these days. If you don’t play a stud as a freshman these days, it’s highly likely they’ll be gone to the portal.

I won't be shocked if Olugbode is next. And I'm guessing Johnson will certainly be gone after losing his starting job.

I can live with Johnson. He’s good and definitely a burner. But if he’s not in space for a deep ball and open he wasn’t as much a threat. He’s not going to battle a strong defender on 3rd down and make a tough catch on the sideline. And a bit of a showboat. Olugbode is different, he’s got NFL written all over him. We need to keep him.
Re: Marquise Davis to the portal
Olugbode won't have the NFL written all over him if this offense can't get him the ball very often. WRs with NFL aspirations get tired of mainly blocking.Armchair QB wrote: ↑10 Dec 2025 20:09 pmI can live with Johnson. He’s good and definitely a burner. Re: Marquise Davis to the portal
IF he knew both stud rb's ahead of him were staying can't blame him at all. He was really good in the few reps he got. Best to him. Look at lacey Lane wanted him out of HS but Eli got him and then PAID him a lot to come to Ole Miss. Great for both him and Hardy. you have to admire Eli for rebounding with an even better back when he left. Also the other RB from last year hit the portal already. I am sure someone will pay Davis a lot to come to their program.
really will be surprised if Roberts sticks around. He would be number 1 at anyplace else. with limited Pool of money in NIL can they afford two starting quality RB's?
Problem with stud WE oligbue? is IF Eli stupidly doesn't run KM off why would he stay. Girlie man Kirby is afraid to throw go routes where he excels and his offense is boring.
Hoping to see Beau's name in portal soon. that money could go to a much more polished QB with couple years experience starting in high volume offense.

Davis and Haygood gone is not good for the RB room. Thought me might only lose one RB. This must mean Roberts is staying.

It’s pretty miraculous how well Luther Burden did in this offense, Brady Cook too for that matter. Burden is beginning to show just how good he is. The guy seems wide open all the time.icon wrote: ↑10 Dec 2025 20:36 pmOlugbode won't have the NFL written all over him if this offense can't get him the ball very often. I hope you're not trying to compare a Drinkwitz-Moore combination to Ben Johnson when it comes to offense.Mizzoufan443 wrote: ↑11 Dec 2025 16:02 pmIt’s pretty miraculous how well Luther Burden did in this offense, Brady Cook too for that matter. Burden after a slow start is mixing in well with the Bears offense which has an excellent receiving corps and a rebuilt OLine.
It also now features a running game something Chicago hasn't had in forever.
