Remaining games in 2025

Post by britishblue »

The Blues have 9 games between now and the new year.

Preds x3
Hawks
Jets
Panthers
Sabres
Rangers
Tampa

All of those games, bar Tampa, are winnable. Whether we do of course is another matter.

I actually think this is the run of games that will define our season.

5 games against divisional rivals.

If we could put together a mini run of like 5-2-2 we will be in a very strong position going into 2026.

It could happen. Let's hope and cheer hard.

Said the same thing last year. It did end well...and this time we have the return of one of the Gloria 5! I hear Bortz is with the club as well. Just bring in Ed and Schwartz and we'll have a complete set with Steener up in the box. We'll be playoff bound for sure. Maybe add Perron to increase my satisfaction 8)

I see 2 against Preds and the Jets game and one other possibly
Too much going on with our Blues
Watching Rags and Hawks now, they are playing well, Sabres beat the Oil yesterday
I just don’t see much more than that regretfully

With as frustrating as this season has been we are not alone. Every team in the WC not named Dallas or Colorado are having the exact same conversation we are. We are a few points out of a wild card spot, a couple more out of third place and equally close to the basement. All this with our best players not playing well and the next wave being rookies. The injuries are certainly a concern, but there is a lot of season left. I get it though. Every loss feels like it's over, but then you look at the standings and realize they didn't lose in the standings.

If they continue on as they have you are correct.

But if the team can find a better consistent play of identity hockey, play to their abilities if you will, then yes they can and will compete into play off hockey.
